literotica kicks AT in behind.........

oh the shame.
well, that's a big given. :p

literotica is an amateur pron site, and a great one at that.

i haven't checked the pics but the stories are surprisingly good. sometimes its refreshing to see into another persons imagination since mine was beaten to a pulp by videogames, alcohol, and tax code.

Fuckin Gaia? DAMMIT.

That place is a CESSPOOL of idiotic teens, furries, and over sensitive emos who think that they're part vampire or some shit. I bet well over 2/3 of the posts and members are nonsense.

NUKE IT FROM ORBIT.

Someone tell me about the 'Culture Change' thread. I have asked before but never got an answer. I must have been inactive during that time (or maybe it was before I joined).

basically the forums were more riotous and exciting and filled with more variety. basically some people decided that the forum shouldn't just be work safe, but child safe and politically correct:p more like safe for tiny tots. so its been nerfed, balkanized and banned into the mild mannered forum it is now.

I remember that happened right around the time I stopped posting for awhile. I left my internship and became wicked swamped with school work. When i came back it was a very different land.

AT also purges inactive members and archives inactive threads far more frequently than most other forums...

Is it still taboo to talk about the guy who got banned in that thread for "sacrificing a kitten to appease the mods"? I always liked that post hehe.

It's a little more complicated than that. This place is a direct link to and from the main site. Anandtech is a legitimate company company with an image to uphold. Sponsors and vendors do look at these boards and see what sort of discussions are being held and it does make an impact on their decisions.

This forums goal is not to be a something aweful or an offtopic.net free for all. We try to keep things a little more civil and friendly than some other forums are.

Not as much fun as it used to be though.. :p

Actually, if you click on the icon for our detailed stats, their info for us looks to be extremely out of date.

The default "ranking" by total posts ever made also seems pretty meaningless to me. If it had accurate data on things like active members and unique visitors, that would be truly interesting.

Adding something like the World of Warcraft forum to the list would probably be pretty funny, too :)

FYI I know I visited a non-computer forum (Vogue Australia) and it had 1800+ members online at the time. Crazy I know.

only 45 out of how many messageboards? i think it'd be cool to own a top 50 messageboard on the internet myself.

Here is a clue: I really don't give a damn.
