Baest is doing their first US/CAN tour with Arch Enemy, Fit for an Autopsy, Thrown into Exile.

Quite a big thing for the best Death metal Denmark has to offer ATM.

The next great Death metal coming from Denmark 'Neckbreaker'.

They've been touring for a couple of years and they got signed at Nuclear Blast and released the 1st album late 2024 'Within The Viscera'. It's next generation, the drummer is only 18. :O

It is heavy as...

Just made it into my top three of my 2024 metal albums.

Recently encountered Hand of Juno, industrial metal (though they do play around with sounds a bit), clean and harsh vocals both

Neckbreaker, Nice classic sound. Groovy and good. first listen, very solid! Im hearing some ... bloodbathy type riffs but no, not really .. not sure who i'd compare them to. After I sleep, I play some more if/when im not on conference calls when working.

Hand of Juno, First liston, sounds like, super tight and controlled. KMFDM meets Lacuna Coil? I think my wife will llike them, she still is hooked on the old 90s nigthwish formula of mixing the heavy and clean. I dont think I''ve heard much industrial stuff since like KMFDM or the drummer from Etienne Pelosoff 's jazz metal project doing her own stuff (aka Amelie G.)

Has anybody ever made anything thicker, heavier, chunkier, girthier than Funeralopolis?

Sleep's Holy Mountain is good too, but, I've never heard anything that can match Electric Wizard when it comes to Stoner rock.

I just got a new (used) synth last week that makes some really nice, gritty bass tones, I've decided that it's going to be part of the core setup for my next project (after I wrap up my current one). It's going to be industrial, so not exactly heavy metal, but it will definitely feature some heavy guitars, so it will be metal-adjacent.

You ever hear Amelie G?
She made a really awesome Industrial sounding track a few years ago ..
Cool you got a new synth! I know you posted some tracks before in another thread that sounded pretty awesome with really rich tones.

Yeah, I wasn't specifically shopping for one, but I occasionally check what my local synth store has because I figure it can't be easy to keep the lights on with such a niche specialty, they had a great deal on the one I ended up buying, and with something like this it's invaluable to be able to play it before buying (most places have a decent return policy, but better to not have to return it in the first place). And thanks!
Nope, haven't heard her before, nice track.
Picked a random track, sounded like rap/hoptop to me ... picked a different one "Synthetic" and this sounds pretty badass
That was kind of my journey with it too.

Also on-topic with heavy metal... sort of. Tonight I'm going to an open mic and doing an acoustic version of Metallica's "Sanitarium" on a 12 string guitar :D
