does anyone know where i can get an M3 for under retail

amazing how a 50k car doesn't even come fully loaded.

You have to pay for even side airbags 🙁

check carsdirect.com

If you are really trying to save a buck . . . maybe you should consider a 2002 or 2003 lease return instead of buying new.

Regardless, I second the carsdirect.com. I seriously doubt you will find a dealer willing to sell an M3 for less than retail.

Lease return is a car that has been returned from a lease, duh.

And if you're willing to spend that much on a car, don't you think spending a few bucks to find a better price is worth it? What's wrong with that?

Dude, if you are so miserly that you won't give $20 to save $2000 . . . it's going to be quite a chore carrying all of your pennies to the dealer . . .

like i said before...eat the dust...

Hmm... considering that there is a waiting list to get an M3, and that most sell for over retail, I'd say it is pretty hard to get one under retail.

And the suggestion about the lease return was to buy a car returned on a lease, not to lease a car. You might as well check carsdirect.com though... Short of having a connection, getting that car on the cheap just won't happen.

he didn't say 'get' a lease, he said get a car that has been returned from a lease.

Man, he never said to lease it. He said to purchase one that's just been returned from a lease. Are you sure you can afford such a car?

Dealer markup for the M3 in my area has always been absurd... you'd have trouble getting it for retail if it was new in most places.

Buying a secondhand like a prior year or lease return is your best bet at getting one at a decent purchase price. This is assuming you want an E46. E36s are quite reasonable now.

I'd just wait out for a RS6

the rs6 competes with the M5 not the M3 there is also a "slight" price difference
even with all its power the rs6 will eat it when it faces an M5
