If you are really trying to save a buck . . . maybe you should consider a 2002 or 2003 lease return instead of buying new.
Regardless, I second the carsdirect.com. I seriously doubt you will find a dealer willing to sell an M3 for less than retail.

what is the lease return?
and carsdirect.com asks for a credit card
And if you're willing to spend that much on a car, don't you think spending a few bucks to find a better price is worth it? What's wrong with that?

Lease return is a car that has been returned from a lease, duh.

Dude, if you are so miserly that you won't give $20 to save $2000 . . . it's going to be quite a chore carrying all of your pennies to the dealer . . .

Man, he never said to lease it. He said to purchase one that's just been returned from a lease. Are you sure you can afford such a car?
does anyone know where i can get an M3 for under retail

Hmm... considering that there is a waiting list to get an M3, and that most sell for over retail, I'd say it is pretty hard to get one under retail.
And the suggestion about the lease return was to buy a car returned on a lease, not to lease a car. You might as well check carsdirect.com though... Short of having a connection, getting that car on the cheap just won't happen.
