If anyone actually read the post, i wasnt actually asking what LCD stood for, i already knew that it stood for liquid crystal display, and i learned that it also stood for liquid crystal diode back in the day. I was just commenting on how funny it was that the teacher actually asked us if we knew what it meant. But whats more funny is that i was the only one in class to say the answer.

hardly anyone that isn't remotely interested in computers will know what any computer acronym is

so im not all that supprised that no one knew what it stood for in your class

i could probably gather 10+ people in my place of work who don't know what it stands for. as amazing as this sounds, some people don't give a sh!t about computers.
