Does anyone here use Reddit?

It's just a bunch of fedora-wearing neckbeards. I need a bunch of low-tier programmers and math nerds for a project and some opinions. Where do I find them? Is the a Minecraft section?

To get the most out of reddit, you need to create an account. Then, remove most (if not all) of the overly popular default subs and subscribe to the good subreddits (as long as its not another extension of fedora-wearing circlejerkers).

Reddit is loaded with butthurt opinionated blow hards.

Oh, and women haters. LOTS of women haters on that site. I had no idea the vagina was despised by so many men.

If Reddit had a format that wasn't so completely stupid it makes me want to go back to IRC, I might put up with the fedora wearing pieces of garbage. Sadly, they choose to let it look awful.

Basically, I have a content-creation app. It's a completely original idea. I need to get semi-smart or patient people to create content for it so that everyone else can use it and see how cool it is. How do I go about promoting it? I thought Minecraft enthusiasts would be a start.

Did you steal my jello mold app idea?

I use reddit

but like the above advice, I unsubbed from 90% of the default sub-reddits.

Find the sub-reddits that interest you, most of the non-mainstream subs have pretty good communities.

I'll occasionally read it, but it's near the bottom of the list so I don't hit it very often.

I think "reddit hates women" meme is just something pushed by all the Feminist subs. Reddit may not be politically correct in Feminazi's eyes, but it doesn't outright hate women.

Gotta say, surprised at a lot of these answers. I think Reddit is great, but quite honestly I'm unsubbed from all but 1-2 of the default subreddits.

15000-50000 subscribers is ok for the most part, over that you start to get a lot of garbage showing up. I was still subbed to /r/personalfinance (since I'm a finance guy) when that turned default. It was a massacre.

And I like the simple / old school design.

why can't their comments section be chronological?

Click the dropdown at the top of the comments thread and change it to "old" instead of "top" or whatever the default is. If you're logged in, it should stay that way.

lol, I unsubbed from that one too. It's the type of sub that gets repetitive fast. No matter how hard you push the FAQ, it's gonna be the same questions over and over.

I made an account years ago. The CEO of OkCupid was doing a thing and I made a comment about about how I'm the shit at programming and banged tons of women from the site and therefore they should hire me. I got downvoted.

That's the only post I've ever made on Reddit.

Reddit is about 70% male. I think it's basically a tame 4chan.
