I don't really have a steady 'job', but I LOVE what I do.

I work as an actor and recently started a web design and computer consulting biz.

Webmaster for UCSD Associated Students. I do some freelance work on the side too. I love my job because I can pretty much work whenever I want.

Government tech support.

I love the job but right now it can be frustrating because I usually do the job of someone else I was never trained properly for. Not my division's fault tho. Nature of the way government works.

I really enjoy my job. I'm an instructor for the Air Force. Been all around the world and get to serve my country. Couldn't ask for anything more.

I like my job.

It's hot, very dirty, and can be very physically tiring.

Die repairman at a forge.

I make a lot of money.
I like fixing things.
I like diagnosing problems and implementing solutions.
A lot of autonomy/responsibility.
I never know what's going to happen from one minute to the next.

My one drawback is that I'm the recipient of everyone's incompetence in the facility which can sometimes wear on you mentally.

How'd you afford that Audi A4 that only takes synthetic?

I am unemployed right now cause I decided to stay in school this summer. Trying to graduate in 4 years with dual degrees (155 credits - Finance and Business Administration). I've been working for my dad during summer breaks since 1995. 8AM to 8PM baby.

I like my job.

I am a 2nd level pharmacy support analyst for Walgreens. (Intercom plus is the software suite we use. Most of the work is fixing issues with unix, oracle, and tuxedo. We also support workstations (NT4), and software deployment/rollout issues. Pretty much any software problems that the help center doesn't know how to fix come to us.

I like it for a lot of reasons.
My boss is great
I get along with all of my co-workers
I like this company a great deal.
My job is Challenging
The pace is generally pretty fast, time usually flies with the exception of weekends, but sometimes its nice to relax a bit.
I genuinely like my customers (my customers are pharmacists, pharmacy managers, and the district supervisors .... I worked as a pharmacy tech for 5 years and got to know a LOT of pharmacists over the years)
This company offers excellent job security. Walgreens has a very good history of not cutting jobs.
There aren't any stupid BS rules (though I can't say the same about my previous position)
The benefits are decent.
The commute is only like 20 minutes or so.
I like my schedule (4 x 10 hour days, thursday, friday,saturdays off ...)
I get to use a Dvorak keyboard every day at work (I guess most places will let you bring in your own keyboard though ...)

There are some things I don't care for too much
... when there are major widespread storm systems and massive power outages, there are often many many corrupt databases, rollback segments, tables, and indexes ... which we have to fix. I don't mind it, but sometimes there are just too many critical issues to fix at once, it can be very overwhelming at times. (though usually I like it being busy, so this is more of a neutral point)
... We run windows on the workstations in my dept (though we do at least have x servers running on our workstations so we can connect to x clients)
... This company tends to be slow to upgrade hardware. everyone in my dept has a celeron or pIII between 700 and 900 mhz, which is fine, however, they only have 128MB of ram, which is nowhere near enough. The store personnel have similar hardware woes.
