Nope. if i want to go home i just tell my boss and 90% of the time i can just go home. No excuses needed. Granted i only do it when we are slow and have nothing to do (for the most part). If we are busy i generally dont mind being at work. Only time i get "denied" is if im the only one on a project.
It seems like I spend the first hour of my day thinking about it, then I say "rats, I got nothin'", then actually start working.

Then you realize.. no matter how great of an excuse is, it reflects poorly on you as a professional.
what is the point of going in the first place if you are just going to leave.
Find a job you love, or find a career you love. I know a lot of people taking night classes to help them get where they want to go. I feel like I wasted too much time in retail before I figured out how important having a job you love really is.
When I was in sales I would scheme ways to go home during the day so I could poop at home.
