Does anyone else hate internet speak?

Seriously I googled "reps" and got nothing like that.

I see the term "reps" used a lot on Slickdeals where the users have reputation. If someone likes a deal and makes a post in a thread (on said deal), you may see something like, "Great find, reps!". This pretty much means reputation++ 😛.

Ahh that makes sense. It's a first for me.

I hate anyone who uses:

-.- o.0 o-o

or any variation. Sometimes I'm playing a game and these idiots won't type anything without that stupid shit at the end.

And what's with "pl0x"?? Fucking idiots.

Good question. What the fuck does "pl0x" mean, anyway?

I had to explain "full of win" and "full of fail" to my sister today. I specifically told her that it was Internet-speak.

Anyway, Necky ol' boy, "shens" is short for "shenanigans," which is not Internet-speak, though it is generally more popular online. *shrug* Granted, we usually make a full statement when accusing someone of shens in real life, but the context makes it clear that it is an accusation or a mock accusation even when used alone. It's the exact same thing as saying "No way!" IRL. Yes, "no way" can be said both seriously and mock-seriously IRL too.

I think it's supposed to mean "please". No idea how.

When I see someone ask a question on a forum or Youtube, and they use "pl0x", I won't answer. If they use that shit I ain't gonna reply. 😀

Both hate and love it. Memes can be funny too, especially pictorial ones. Picture can paint a thousand words after all!

I think Necktard quotes people and says the same thing over and over in every thread he participates in.

It's called neffing. How do you think he managed to become a lifer so quickly?

FYI, the affix tard is strongly discouraged on the forum. You're inviting mod intervention.

<-- speaking from experience.

I just dislike abbreviations such as "u" and "lik", makes you look stupid, mainly because only internet kids use those

Also people who constantly use xD in everything they say... Wtf does xD even mean?

And Sometimes You Find People Who Like To Capitalize Every Word For No Reason, And It Is Annoying As Fuck, Not To Mention A Complete Headache For Both The Writer And The Reader

Don't mind it as much when I'm surfing but when I actually hear people use it in everyday conversation, that gets weird. I overheard some guy at work said "For the win!" and it sounded kind of dumb.
