Does anyone else hate internet speak?

Internet speak is getting out into real life is well. I heard my little sister say "epic fail" the other day, and I was like "WTF."

Edit: LOL xD

Don't mind it as much when I'm surfing but when I actually hear people use it in everyday conversation, that gets weird. I overheard some guy at work said "For the win!" and it sounded kind of dumb.

What if it's said with a sort of self-depreciating/ironic tone-of voice ?

Also: Second Life.

Yeah, I'm really, REALLY not a fan of it -- especially so in real life. I barely use it on here, hell, I barely use it on 4chan, pretty much the originator of any internet joke.

I just dislike abbreviations such as "u" and "lik", makes you look stupid, mainly because only internet kids use those

Also people who constantly use xD in everything they say... Wtf does xD even mean?

And Sometimes You Find People Who Like To Capitalize Every Word For No Reason, And It Is Annoying As Fuck, Not To Mention A Complete Headache For Both The Writer And The Reader

XD is a smiley with eyed closed and a huge grin.

Same here. My brother has started using "Fail" and "Epic Fail" all the time now in conversations. Everytime I hear him use I wanna punch him in the mouth.
