I only drink 1-2 beers a year....I LOVE the taste of a rich dark brew..but alas, I cannot hold my booze therefore I only have a beer or two at my annual blue crab feast..Blue Crabs, a dark beer and good company....I can only think of one thing I enjoy more.

Beer is great! Although there are some I like much better than others. My dad would rather drink beer than water or anything else -- he loves the taste of beer.

Maybe gay porn is an acquired taste too, and should you guys go try that out a few years to see if you get a liking to it.

I don't like the taste of beer, wine or coffee, and I've never felt the urge to 'acquire' a taste for it either. Why would I drink stuff I don't like, just to maybe, in the future, get used to it? I rather drink something I do like from the start.

Beer and Coffee are both acquired tastes. Most people who have been raised to believe that Beer=Budweiser and Coffee=Folgers do not know the real taste of either.

I enjoy both equally. I always love to test my tastebuds by picking up a different kind of imported beer every month or so. No cheap crap American suds (Mich, Busch, Bud, Miller, Blatz, Beast, get out of the kitchen...)

I love beer. Favorites include Newcastle, various Microbrews around, Guinness if I'm feeling up to it, Harp, RedHook, loved Shiner Bock (only had 1 6'er of it) Started out liking only domestics in high school, worked my way to the mid-range, Sam Adams, Pete's Wicked, expanding my horizons to the darker, fuller flavored stouts, porters and the like.

Coffee has been a slower go for me. I didn't used to like it until I started working. Even still, I'd make a mocha with some hot chocolate mix we had at work. We also have an espresso machine at work. I make a starbucks-esque drink that keeps me up a freaking day. double espresso over ice, with foamed milk, with added chocolate non dairy creamer. People pay like 3.50 for that, and it tastes better than a regular cup of coffee.

Beer can be almost as refined as wine. There is complexity and character, colour and depth. Beers such as James Boag Premium and Cascade Premium are joys to drink.

Hmm, you make coffee at work, and people pay you 3.50 for it. Either you work in a cafe, restaurant, or you're the coffee lady at some company.

no, I don't make coffee as my job, there's a couple of coffee machines at work and I make them for myself. Sorry I wasn't clear enough :)

I love the taste of beer, and that is the only reason I drink it, as my alcohol tolerance is too high for it to give me any sort of buzz, not that I would want one. Unfortunately, my brother-in-law corrupted me with my first beer, and gave me the expensive stuff, so now I cannot stand to drink any of that crap in a can that most people call beer. :p

I've only ever tasted beer when it was a Black and Tan, but I heard that dark beer is an acquired taste. But I still thought it was nasty.
