Does anybody believe that "Blade Runner - The Final Cut" will actually be the Final Cut?

I'm pretty sure they've got a good two to five more versions they can come out with.

I remember reading somewhere that all these versions were related to various arguments between the director and all of the other people who had money/influence with it. Supposedly, this is what the director wanted all along in this one.

I thought the Directors cut was THE director's cut?

Maybe we can have the Producer's Cut and Editor's Cut and even Harrison Ford's Cut and put them out in some super 8 DVD pack and charge $60 for it ($99 for the HD versions)

As long as there is someone dumb enough to buy it, it will probably keep going until there is a "Best Boy Cut".

Seriously, the movie was not that good. At all. In any incarnation.

I wonder how sore the teats are, of idiot movie buyers that keep getting milked by "Directors Cuts" & Special/Limited Edition" releases of the same old tired shit? My god, people are laughing at you.

But they'll keep spewing it out there as long as someone is there to swallow...

Bottoms up.

So much hate for a classic film, tis a shame.... and the Director's cut of Blade Runner has been the only DVD release until the Final cut (which has all the versions), so it isn't something like the Evil Dead series when they pop out a newer version every year or so....

/like tears, in the rain.....

I can't wait for someone to make a movie called "Circumcision". Soon after the DVD comes out and it's called "Circumcision: Director's Cut"

I don't hate the film. I love it in fact. It has just been through so many changes through its various releases over the years. Mostly due to the conflict over the voice-over narration.

Still, the story behind the making of the film is almost as entertaining as the film itself.

It's like Disney sequels, they're all absolutely terrible but apparantly there are a lot of idiots out there that gobble them up time after time.

Tears in the rain yea, they have milked this one even
more than Paramount milked Star Trek but it's still a stunning Sci-fi film even 25 yrs. later. Saw it in 82
opening night, blew me away....

There's only been one Blade Runner cut on DVD (the directors cut), and that was back around 2000.... So here we are now, seven years later and here's a release of the all different versions of the film coming out in the collector's set - and people are saying they're "milking it."

Get real... The Final Cut has been in work for quite a few years and has been held up by rights issues...

QFT. I don't get all the animosity towards this, there was only one DVD release. And unlike the whole Star Wars edits, the release that's coming out includes all the versions.

my dead nuts favorite of all time- I'm 47 years old, have watched horror and sci-fi all my life, and lots of it !. I like it w/o the narration from Ford: I remember reading that they thought the common movie going idiot wouldn't understand the movie: hence the voice over from Ford explaining things. One of the great questions was always " was Decker an android?". The director explained it 🙂

I've never seen it either. I am going to rent the HD DVD on Netflix but there are 2 separate discs. The Final Cut and The Directors Cut. I'm not going to sit through both of them. Which one should I rent?

Nothing will ever top the faggotry that is the Disney classic DVDs. OMFG IT'S 101 DALMATIONS PLATINUM CLASSIC FOR A LIMITED TIME... FOR THE 10th FUCKING TIME.

And lmao at "Circumcision - Uncut"
