everyone in the world wishes they were part of the wonder that is america.

You can call that sarcasm if you want but the immigration numbers/requests prove that is true. If I remember correctly more people are trying to come here than everywhere else combined.

oh and btw america IS the most important country on the plant because we have the most powerful economy and military.

and so it begins

just a matter of minutes before we start to see "we could kick everyones asses", fools, it is this attitude which everyone dispises.

you think that sept 11th was caused by jealousy? seriously?

Red Dawn, there is a big difference between humour and sarcasm.

lets turn it round shall we, witha good dollop of sarcasm:

americans are overall a healthy nation, with good manners, a brilliant legal system, excellent free healthcare, good levels of education and most of all they are liked by everyone.
they are without doubt the most important nation in the world, mainly because they have the biggest military force in the world.
everyone in the world wishes they were part of the wonder that is america.
all the varied cultures all over the planet are just dying to adopt the "u suck" frame of mind.
and anyone who doesn't agree with thier ways/philosophies should be nuked...obviously. [/sarc]
No my posts were sarcastic humor (or humour) your posts were just nonsense.

You spelled humor wrong.
No he didn't. That's how the English spell it. How can the Eglish spell that word wrong if the language is called "English" to begin with?

I hear they do have good Optometrists in Britain.

BYW Benny, Winston Churchill thought the US was the most important country in the world. He like the USA so much that he use to hang out for months in the White house (drinking up all the White House Brandy)

Seriously, if the US of A isn't the most important, what country is? We do have the largest military, we do have one of the best economies, we use a disproportionate amount of the worlds energy and consume ridiculous amounts of natural resources. Not saying we are "the best" and that is why we are important, but we use up huge amounts of energy and resources and are by far the #1 polluter. We are somewhat important because of "good" things (military / economic / political strength) and somewhat important because of "bad" things (pollution / energy usage / resource usage / trying to police the globe).

Europe MADE America. Where did most Americans come frm originally? Europe, European settlers. You are descended from Europeans mainly.
I am European and wish this wasn't true, as I am happy being fairly healthy, thin, having the confidence to walk down a street, or go into school without worrying that someone may pull a gun out and start shooting people.
I am happy we have out "bad tasting" food, because at least it's more healthy than American junk (crap) food. The only thing I am envious of from my side of the Atlantic, is the abscence of Tim Hortons donuts, and they're in Canada anyway.
I personally am thankful for relatively free healthcare, and a good education system, especially because it teaches me how to spell words like humour, armour and colour, and would allow me to be taught the word niggardly without risk of my teacher being sacked from teaching.

And at least we have proper English as our language rather than American English, I mean, what the hell is that? If it's English, let it be English, if not call it some other crappy name which is indicative of its links to America, like Fatish.

The British are still mad that their empire collapsed and they can no longer rely on their cunning use of flags to achieve world domination.

"I claim India for Britain!"

"You can't claim us, we live here! 500 million of us!"

"Do you have a flag?"

"We don't need a bloody flag, its our country, ya bastards!"

"No flag, no country, you can't have one. That's the rules that.. I've .. just made up."

Same here. Not only am I not fat but I am fit as I work out daily. There are a lot of Americans who are starting to eat healthy and watch their wieght. Porkers are discriminated as much here as they are anywhere else in the world. The main difference is that they smell better here than they do over there.

Stereotype much? I'm thin, healthy, well educated, not afraid of being shot walking down the street or in my school.

How about this: The English have bad teeth, the French smell and the Polish are dumb. Fair? Not really. Might be true occasionally, but probably isn't as true as people would think.

Edit: And I agree with you about the usage of the word "niggardly", people getting fired for using the word or talking about the word is ridiculous. From the radio in NYC: "So, I was thinking we should call up Nabisco and ask them to take "Crackers" off all of their boxes because it's so offensive. And people shouldn't say "Honk your horn", that upsets me."

Europe made nothing. You were trying to fsck this country up too so we kicked your sorry asses out. I've been to your dismal country and the lines at American fast food places are horrendous. Tim Hortons is owned by Wendy's BTW. Sorry. No one I know is afraid to walk down the street or go into a school. As for your healthcare I notice that most of the world comes here when something really important needs to be done. Imagine that, you get what you pay for. In regards to your education system, if you and the others from GB are an indication of what it is, I'm singularly unimpressed. Yes we did Americanize your language. We got rid of a bunch of unecessary letters in words like humor, armor and color. Terse and pithy, that's us.

yes, you need attention, but i'm talking about much deeper issues.

eg. i watched the olympics last time i was in america, and whenever another country came higher than the highest american, they did not show the awarding of the medal.

i was quite confused by this and i phoned someone from the network and they said that showing another country winning gold would anger too many people in america.

that is the attitude i am talking about, it has been engineered by the american govornment and tv networks, and now everyone is too sensative for anything to be done about it.

also, america's dead are concidered more important than any others.
surely that is going too far.

Yeah right, and I believe that..not. In fact I think what upset the American Public the most was seeing our own Athletes act like complete jerkoffs. Man when the USA relay team starting posing and crap after they won the gold Americans all over the country were disgusted.

I watched the 1992 Olympics both live and on German TV. Drove down to Spain to watch a few events.

At any rate, the German stations did not show Americans receiving medals. So I guess the Germans have attitudes also, right?

/agree Shiner and RD.

If a raging let's say ... Argentinian crazy person shot and killed 2 English people before being killed by police, who do you think the English people would care more for? Of course they would mourn the loss of their own countrymen more than an Argentinian. The same can be said for most any counrty in the world including the US.

I was pissed at those dumbasses on the relay team too. They are the ones who help to maintain these stereotypes of the arrogant, fat, ignorant American that you seem to believe.

So you're blaming us because your own media decided to cover a story in the US? /boggle

Does America wonder WHY?

I think the international press has really capitalized on the idea that we are a wholly uncivil population, based perhaps on the Bush administration, which is a cast of hawks. It is embarrassing really, and this forum doesn't really change that opinion. If you question anything the government has done (unless of course it pertains to social welfare), you are met with a wave of McCarthyisms. Since 9/11 we might as well add a clause to the 1st Amendment of free speech on any speech that questions the government's actions, because some people here (on this forum and in America) think it is inadmissable.

whao whao whao, where did blame come into it?

i mean if there was a tragedy here, and thousands of people died, it would spend about 10 minutes on the news, only to be overtaken with stories of a man hit by a car in america
