Are you talking about brand new only?

Lets allow for a 2-yr old used cars as well, then you'd have:
- Infiniti Q45 & M35 (a 02-03 model can be had for roughly ~27k maybe less)
- 02-04 GS430
- 300C/Charger/Magnum (new or used)
- Ford Mercury twins
- Lincolns Town Car
- new Caddilac CTS-v
- an 02 BMW 540i/740i (anyone notice how a 2002 540i costs the same as a 02 740iA)?


I didn't include teh LS430 since it costs more than $30k, even used.

I was comparing 4 door performance cars in the $30k price range...I would have thought you of all people could have picked up on that. :roll:

It's not all looks, the 80's Charger was about affordable speed and fun, something this new iteration brings to the table as well

The Magnum/Charger/300C are all based on the previous generation E-Class chassis which debuted in '96. Costs for the platform are already absorbed.

I thought only the rear suspension/subframe is based on the old E-class. I believe the development of the LX chassis is pure Chrylser with only some parts-bin sharing from Mercedes for rear suspension/steering rack/etc...

Suspension, rear axle, electronics systems, stability control systems, traction control, transmissions...

Just about everything that makes the car tick except for the engines 😛

Well, that's a good thing otherwise it would probably end up using a live rear axle with leaf springs from the Durango.
