Please people, think before you post.

OUCH.

I think he should be giving a Hennessey Viper, plus some change to cover his medical bills and the pain he will have to endure for the rest of his life. My uncle had nerve reconstruction and he says that he will lose all feeling in that part of his body for anywhere from minutes to hours.

The SRT-4 handles nicely, although supposedly there is a tendency for the rear to raise up and cause the car to spin out, at least from what I've heard at SRTforums...

But that's not the real issue...I don't think that car is all that great safety wise if you look at the other crash pics...or for that matter, the crash test ratings...

If they made it safer I'd be a lot more likely to buy it...but for now I wouldn't go for a drive in one...

I think 4 guys were killed when the driver lost control in an SRT-4 over at SRTforums..car did not look pretty at all....

SRT is FWD. I dont think they ever made AWD.

Correct. Not a problem if you actually know how to drive a FWD car correctly, though. Most idiots get behind the wheel and expect the car to drive the same as a typical sports car.

Personally, I think the car companys/dealers should take the initiative when they sell essentially a 'race' car to bundle in some kind of one day 'driving school' to the buyer. Anything that is capable of <14 seconds - 1/4-mile stock should have something like this, because honestly, anybody who is going to buy this quick of a car knows what they are buying and is planning to go fast on occasion. Most people who would buy this kind of car would thoroughly ENJOY a kind of SCCA/Autocross training session, and I'm sure some basic knowledge wouldn't hurt in reducing the amount of wrecks by idiots in fast cars they are uncapable of driving correctly on the road. Plus, driving the hell out of a test car that is essentially identical to the one you bought would be sweet :D

EDIT: Also, WHO THE HELL drives fast with those stock tires in the snow?? Those tires have NO CHANCE in the snow whatsoever. If I was forced to drive a SRT-4 with stock tires in the snow, I'd be doing like 5 under the whole time lol. I hope the dealer/driver guy gets his ass sued off, and I hope the guy who got injured gets enough money to buy the entire SRT collection. God I hate stupid people.

Here as of the past few years, Car dealerships have put their salesmen in the backseat and sometimes drive the customers.....this is one reason it is a BAD IDEA.

My friend at work was telling me about this. Can't believe how stupid some people are.

That is why FWD sucks.

Did you bother to read my previous post ?

Yea, it crashed because it's front wheel drive, right, the inexperianced driver crashed the Neon.

Viper = heavy 8.1 V-10 engine based off the original 8.0 liter cast iron V-10 Ram truck engine
SRT-4 = relatively compact turbo 2.4 liter inline 4

Not to mention that the Viper's V-10 alone probably cost 50-75% what the Neon does.

Viper GTS

Oh for god's sake you all...I was being facetious.

They should give him 50 of them.
I would never want to ride in one again myself.
