Well, first of all, a responsible gun owner would make sure that his children knew to stay in their rooms if they heard gunshots. However if the situation you describe does arise (I think it extremely unlikely) you remove the clip and throw the gun down. No sense giving the invader the opportunity to use your own weapon against you.

good reply, thats probably the best thing to do in that situation. however, im still not convinced to buy a gun for protection. break-ins happen rarely, break-ins while you are home is even more rare, and break-ins resulting death is probably extremely rare. and i know most law-abiding citizens dont carry guns anywhere other than their house. You probably have a higher chance to to be harmed from a car accident than a criminal breaking into your house. i would still prefer non-lethel weapons for protection, or maybe an alarm in the house. wonder if the criminals would still break-in if i just put the stickers on the windows and doors but no acutal alarm system?🙂

oh well i cant convince people to not own guns and they cant convince me to buy one either, but thats ok 🙂

How the @#$% did you fit 8 rounds (I'm assuming you mean 9 with one in the chamber) into a tube magazine under a 18.5" barrel? I thought I was doing pretty well with 6 rounds under a 19" barrel. Frankly, I'm jealous... though I take it you are not using 3" shells... are you? What are the other firearms in that picture?

No worries about the auto jamming, a wide variety of ammo...#8's #6's #4's 00 000 slug, high energy impact that few other self defence firearms can match and the sound of it being pumped can intimidate someone into giving up.

Well, I don't want a gun for protection so much as I think that one of the responsibilities of citizenship is knowing how to handle a firearm responsibly. Plus, it is something that will be necessary for the career I am pursuing so I may as well keep in practice.

They're 2 1/4" shells.

The others are:

Savage Tactical Model 110FP in .223 with a 6x24 range finding, trajectory compensating scope.
Ruger 10-22, .22 caliber with 3x9 scope.
Beretta Model .21, .22 caliber.
American Arms .22, which is actually gone and replaced with an SMC .380 (Walther clone).
SMC .45 double action
Beretta Model 92FS 9MM
Taurus 44 Mag

My friends dad has a pistol with the first 3 rounds in the clip being HALLOW POINTS. that stuff will tear up any would be assailent.. BTW: they dont make Hallow points anymore because they cause massive damage.

I've never heard of "hallow" points, but every round in all of my magazines are "hollow" points. Corbon +p to be exact.

Since I've started doing onsite work at companies that are often deserted and spooky at night I've come to realise just how vulenerable I am and would like to get a permit to carry, but I live in MA and they'd probably rather see me dead in an alley than allow me to carry a concealed weapon.
 
The guy I bought the Tec-9 from has a 12 gauge shotgun he modded with pistol grip, and a 10 round tube under the barrel. Cant remember the exact model of the gun though. Heavy as hell.

For the range, just 230Gr ball. When carried, Corbon 185Gr +p JHP. But, the .45 isn't normally my carry piece. The Beretta is, also Corbon +p - 115Gr JHP.

That's Black Talon, and that was the biggest crock of gun-grabber BS ever to hit. The Black Talon was never even the most effective hollow point, yet they bent over and dropped their pants for the ignorant masses.
