Do you / Would you eat bear meat?

Me and the GF are having a little dispute about this question. My dad recently shot a bear and had steaks made out of it. She says it is "disgusting" to eat anything that you see on the side of the road while you are driving, specifically bear. She wanted me to post on ATOT for everyone to chime in their answers/thoughts. She says, "only cave men are supposed to eat bear." LOL. So.. what's the verdict ATOT?

I guess she wouldn't eat a cow, or chicken, or anything with legs for a matter of fact...

I've had bear. (Black bear) It's not that great.

Moose, caribou, goat... not bad. Bear is pretty gamey. It's hard to describe... They eat anything so they taste like everything.

I eat bear regularly, while your statement is somewhat true (Bear can be almost inedible sometimes because of the gamey taste) if you luck out and shoot the right one, it can be far better than beef.

That's true... I've heard of people getting lucky and finding a good bear. I've never been that lucky.

But your odds are definitely better with moose.

I've had it before. It was really good, except I was drunk so probably anything would have tasted good at the time.
