Do you wash your face with regular soap before using a facial cleanser?

WTF, why would I do that? Unless I was like bobbing for apples in manure, then I may need a double wash.

No. Soap strips you face of all oils, including the "good" ones. The point of a facial cleanser is to clean your face, leaving the "good" oils in.

what are you, a girl? Soap not good enough for ya?

Nope, just a guy who's had the unfortunate history of an acne problem.

Accutane FTW!! or so I am told. My acne was never bad and cleared up before I turned 16.

I usually just use soap. I used to use that clearasil facial wash but I ran out and started using regular soap and haven't noticed any more break outs than usual so I'm going to stick to regular soap for now.

Because I use several skin products daily. I got sick of having horrible skin, so I went to the dermatologist and got put on a skin regimen, including facial cleanser and differn. They help a lot, but I still am very prone to breakouts.

You have to live with your face until you die, I'd rather minimize how horrible I look from acne scars for the next 60 years.

I am too, but I use other products to help keep my face less oily. I often use Dawn De-greasing dishsoap. It helps me quite a bit.

Accutane is one hell of an experience. Trust me. It dries you out like a motherfvcker. I hear people already complaining when they use products like Proactiv or even prescription drugs like Retin-A or Differin.

If you even complain about the OTC treatment stuff or even some of the topical creams, those are NOTHING compared to Accutane.

That said, it does work =)

I rarely use facial cleansers. I remember using those a lot in high school and I broke out even more. Then I learned that no oil is actually really bad.
