You need one more option: Don't use facial cleaner or soap.

Both are for pvssies ;) JK

Seriously, I just give my face a splash, and that's enough. Why would I need to go further than that? My skin is dry enough as it is.

WTF is up with all these "manly men" who wash their face with bar soap? What retards. Do you wash your hair with soap too? Are you tough enough to use Lava soap to do it all? Sheesh. Your testicles won't drop off if you use face wash, you know.

OP, I just use the basic Neutrogena face wash you can find anywhere. It's pretty mild, if a bit drying for some people.

I wash with bar soap first (I don't know, I like the feeling of bar soap...it makes me feel much cleaner) then I wash with the orange Neutrogena stuff. A bit dry but it's all good.

I'm 16 though so I need to wash a little more.

Apparently at least two people in this thread wash every part of their bodies except their faces.. Unless they don't shower either.

I use this stuff as well. Works great!! I now only use St Ives face stuff, I switch off between some of the products in an attempt to keep my body from getting used to/adjusting to it. Thus making it less effective. I probably don't need to do that at all, but ... meh

When I wash my hair, my face gets clean enough. :p

Unless shaving/etc counts as washing your face..

there's good and bad oils on the face? oils are oils.. just dirt from being outside that clings to the oils making the face dirty.

some soaps may strip oils (too good a job at cleaning? eh) but they don't tell you how fast your face can replenish the oils.

this depends on the person, but still, most people can regenerate oil to replenish as long as you're not helping these soap companies by washing your face 5x ea. day.

Facial wash.

My acne is weird. I get the small pimples sometimes, and sometimes I get cystic acne. The cystic acne is terrible, as they are very large.

I get them sometimes. So I wash my face all the time, although it doesn't really help much.

wouldn't using soap defeat the point of using a facial cleanser in the first place? is this a foaming cleanser? wouldn't that remove all the dirt, oils, etc. without any need to use soap?

I've been using the Clearasil face wash for years. It doesn't dry out my skin and doesn't leave it oily. Works for me.

I use Purpose: Gentle Cleansing wash. Cleans your skin without drying it or clogging pores. Works well in treating acne if you use benzoyl peroxide right after it.

Wtf at the people that think they're masculine because they use soap. Some people have acne and want to get rid of it. You people sound like insecure pimply teenagers.

Why do you even know this?

Because I use several skin products daily. I got sick of having horrible skin, so I went to the dermatologist and got put on a skin regimen, including facial cleanser and differn. They help a lot, but I still am very prone to breakouts.

You have to live with your face until you die, I'd rather minimize how horrible I look from acne scars for the next 60 years.
