Will it protect your Toyota Corolla engine while towing 5000lbs and taking a turn at 40mph in snow???
Only if you keep the pedal to floor to fling the snow.

The engine is fine, it's the shitty tranny that is shot.
Oh very true, but aside from the turbo the base setup (AFAIK) is identical. We don't have any issues with the PYB, but the engine does have a bit of piston slap (2003 with 144k on it.) If the Rotella is "better" for the engine then I'll use that instead.![]()
Exactly, I use a blend of ~5 quarts 15W50 and one quart of 10W30 since my camaro sees regular abuse.AFAIK, heavier weight oil gives more protection if you drive higher RPM range.
That's fine for an everyday regular car but some of us have modded our cars so "stock" oil won't cut it.Just follow the owners manual but if people followed what their owner's manual said, we'd have 99% less threads in here. That's no fun.
It's 5W at startup, right? Same as 5W-20.
Good point, so thus the only big difference is that it would take heat situations better than 30 correct? Thus in the summer time it would maintain composition better.
