Do you tip your doctor?

It's illegal for doctors to accept tips/kickbacks in the US. It seems kind of unfair for some professions to be considered tip worthy and have it be prohibited for others.

no, not really OP. they already charge PLENTY of money to the insurance companies for their services. no tipping is required.

I still don't know how to express this in something other than theory, but her I go...

If they take the Hippocratic I will acknowledge their oath as well so cheap service tips are out of the question.
That said, I'd risk my life to save theirs, or at least bake them a pie if it was necessary.

What I give them in return, me being broke and all, is the most valuable thing I think I can give them: my trust.
