Do you think what the skateboarder did to the McLaren is justified?

So the McLaren runs a stop sign making the skateboarder fall. The kid retaliates by smashing in the windshield.

To be honest, if I were the skateboarder, I'd feel a tongue lashing against the driver is in order. But if I were the driver, I'd have a hard time holding back because the kid's action was deliberate.

There are a lot of haters. Sad. Anyway, the McLaren ran the stop sign. I've accidentally run thru stop signs and zebra cross walks before. I'm only human. Everyone is prone to mistakes. The issue here is the $250k car. When most people see such a nice car, they get angry. They mistakenly think the driver is an a-hole. He's privileged, etc..

The bottom line is what the kid did wasn't right. Maybe he was having a bad day. When the driver blew his horn it put the kid over the edge. So, he smashed the window,

Can't see anything for sure, but you can definitely tell there's a crosswalk that the car should have stopped behind... And didn't. Smashing a window seems extreme, but the guy honked at him so I say it serves the driver right for not stopping AND honking like he did nothing wrong

It is hard to say when you can't see how close he actually got to the skateboarder. My problem is he did rolled through a stop sign and, even at a low speed, it could do a lot of damage to a person.

Destroying inanimate objects that don't belong to you is effing stupid, the skater's a maroon. You get in people's grill not their car.

I hope he's personally liable for the cost of the windshield. You don't intentionally damage someone's property because they did something wrong.

Nope. McLaren owner would be justified in running over the skateboarder now...kid crossed the line unless the car actually hit him. (we don't see much of what happened other than the McLaren crossed the crosswalk.

Good smash, would smash again. I'm betting the Mclaren driver will learn to be contentious and follow the rules of the road long before he can afford enough Mclaren windshields.

what the kid did is in no way justified.

if there was a video, the driver should have been reported to the police and got a measly ticket

not get his windshield smashed in for a minor traffic violation

hope the kid got the shit beat out of him

I'm sure you'll use that as your excuse when you hit someone in a crosswalk. How about stopping at stop signs and before a crosswalk?

Yeah, it didn't have anything to do with the car driver knocking the kid over in the crosswalk, idiot. Driver got what he deserved and maybe next time he'll stop at a stop sign and not risk someone's life.

In which case the person doing the beating is in 1000 times more trouble than the kid is in for smashing the windshield.

So the driver ran the stop sign and then honked at the kid, whom he almost ran over. Nice smash, as far as I care.

You can hear the kid's skateboard crossing at the beginning of the video, before the car is anywhere near the stop sign.

The driver clearly runs the stop sign, and ends up stopping in the middle of the cross walk, after either hitting, or nearly hitting the skateboarder. This happened mostly off screen, so we'll assume that the car didn't hit the skateboarder but made him fall, like the person who filmed said.

The driver, who nearly hit the skateboarder then honks at him, and either the driver or the passenger says "fucking move bitch", or something similar.

I can't blame the kid from having a temporary lapse of judgement under those circumstances.

The driver and passenger both fled the scene before the police could have responded. Something seriously shady with those guys and they clearly had something to hide.

The skater is a hero.
