Do you think we Americans have lost all common sense and decency?

Well, if it makes you feel any better, that behavior is not exclusive to americans. There are morons everywhere these days.

Guys, please get over it and do it somewhere else... this was a pretty darn good thread till you started whining at each other.

i for one think it's quite funny 😉

"You go out and get some fast food. There is always somebody who is acting like the cashier who makes $7.00/hour to take of family, has molested one of their children because there was no toy in the bag they got go threw the drive-thru."

I didn't really follow this part.

I worded that kind of bad (I was tired, just had a baby born on Monday).

You always have some prick throwing a major fit towards a low paid cashier, because they left a toy out of a kids meal, or forgot the fries. If a minor inconvienance happens, people make it much bigger than it is.

When customers throw a fit, I don't take it personally, but I sit there and think how much I would love to tell them to shut up.

Another thing I hate is when people park in a handycap parking spot, when they don't have a permit (especially when they are really young and just being lazy).

<<I mean you can go grocery shopping, and there is always people who park their cart in the middle of the isle while they are looking and won't let you get by. They look right at you, but then pretend you are not there>>
I hate them sooooo much. WTF? Is it really that hard to park your cart to the side?? Beuller? Beuller??

The other huge gripe I have is that when I hold the door open for somebody and they just walk through, without a word. No "thank you", no smile, nothing. I make a point of saying "You're welcome" fairly loudly if they don't say anything, a$$holes.

...and I still hold or open doors for everybody...

The out of control immigration behavior is clear indication America has lost all common sense. The era of the unsetteled west is long over and immigration is now a parasitic drag and load on overloaded American infrastructure. To continue this behavior will degrade the quality of life for the existing population of the US...but mabe that's the plan.

Best way to combat this stuff is start with yourself. Make a point to communicate, educate, and illuminate 😉

Leading by example only does so much (because many, if not most, people don't pay attention enough to realize) and trying to actively change things is difficult. You have to get someone to wake up without making them feel like a moron.

Is this true world-wide though? People around here are pretty nice, decent people. I have no complaints regarding politeness at all.

There are plenty of idiots out there but there are enough good people to offset that penalty. All you can do is make your tiny corner of life the best you can make it and deal with the bad as it comes.

As for the "American" slant I'd say we're too distracted by things that aren't at all important. And because of that, we're not concerned enough with the well-being of others.

I've always felt there was a general loss of community at about the time government began greatly overtaxing us and forcing both parents to work. Combine that with television's invasion and too many became a tube zombie and quite self-involved.

Whenever I interact with others I try to view the world through their eyes. Sometimes I don't like what I see but it helps keep everything in perspective. And it's easier said than done. 🙂

What's worse is the perfectly able people who borrow permits from relatives just so they can park in the front.

I'm not angry, in fact I'm not even that annoyed.

Maybe that's why people are such jerks. They let the small sh!t get to them. Instead of making fun of idiots, they get all red faced wild eyed.

i take it you don't work in any sort of customer based field?

my view on humanity has declined significantly after taking this tech supp. job.

too true... I think I used to have too much confidence in the average person's brain power till i took this job...
Why is it that people can always find time to search through the website to find the helpdesk phone number, but can't find the time to READ THE FRONT PAGE where the answer to their stuuuupid question is written :|

Then again, somedays they can really make you laugh, so i guess it evens out some... 😀

umm wouldn't that still be in warranty?

Give that man a ceegar! The customer had a right to be upset. Some of you have spent so much time trashing the idiot customer that you completely failed to notice that it was the morons in customer "service" that created the problem.
