Do you think this would work

So the mouse I'm using right now(mx518) is slightly broken. The olny problem is that I can't click and drag on anything. Its not a huge issue in most things but it pretty much kills my gaming. So logitech is sending me a new mouse but it will take two to three weeks and I really can't wait that long becuse CAL is starting and I need to play. So do you guys think I could go somewhere buy a mouse open then return it for full price after getting my new one or take the new one they sent me and use the reciept and get my money back with that? I really don't want to waste $40 but at the same time I don't want to wait. Any ideas?

It's just a game.

Wait for your replacement, or go buy a new mouse...

People like you push up prices for everyone else...

just pick up a cheap wired USB mouse as a gap filler. It's good to have one around anyway.

Yeah, I'd be suprised if you were on OT without a backup mouse, and if you don't have one, it's time.

The thing is I don't have any old mice laying around and to the second qutoe I might just do that but its annoying to get used to one mouse just to switch back again.

Most probably thought you'd return the used one. If the new one comes in the same packaging, I wouldn't see it as a big deal - but you should have a cheap optical backup anyway..they're only 15 bucks. :)

CAL is a league for video games

Ok think of it this way if you lost your sneakers and were in a REC league wouldn't you feel like a jerk just because the sneaker you are getting you need to wait a couple weeks for so until then you team played short handed

Are you seriously in a gaming clan that one of the members of your clan can't send your a frigg'n mouse?!?!

Do you really need assistance on figuring this out?!?!! C"MON!

Call one of your clan mates and say "send me a frigg'n mouse!" and if that doesn't work...go buy one and quit being a damn scrooge.

I don't think Logitech is going to send you the replacement mouse with all the retail packaging.

He's saying return the one he gets from the manufacturer to the store, not the one he opened. I don't think there's a problem with that at all as long as like CadetLee says, it's the same packaging.

If you can't afford to buy another mouse from a store I really feel sorry for you.

Your plan will probably work if it's returned within 30 days.
And this thread will be locked eventually because you're asking how to scam a store.

If you mean you'll return the replacement Logitech sends you...

That's a slightly different story and not what the OP seems to indicate. Granted, that also assumes you'll get a full, retail, untagged package with the same model as the one you bought.

if you really NEED it, you'll want to have a spare in case. So just go out and buy another one.
