by us constitution.Even if marshal law declared human rights still exist and under them it would be consider murder. The most that can happen is that they be fined 25000 and/or send to prison for 5 years.

My question would be what are the chances that u get cought i would say not alot if u can stay low.

While I don't agree with Tripleshot and his idea that all people should serve in the military without choice (because imho that totally goes against the idea of freedom of choice)... If there was a draft because our country needed it, I would be proud to serve my country. However, I don't think there will be a draft because I don't see this war being one that is fought with tons of ground troops... Yes if we goto war with Afganistan there maybe a need for soldiers, but the "War against terrorism" is more of a small group of people kicking down the doors of terrorists and arresting them ... Also with the relatively large army reserves we have right now, I doubt there would be a need for a draft... If it came to that though, I don't see how any American would not want to participate after what happened last week.

Tripleshot,

You're insane. Just because you might enjoy having bullets grazing your skull, doesn't make people who don't like it, are pansy's or pussys or anything else you might like to call them.

I don't even like getting into fist fights, yet you think you could give me a gun and tell me to kill as many people as I could before I got killed? Thats just not gonna happen.

<< I watched as Colin Powell said in direct response to this question. "No."

There's your answer.
>>

Yeah, and Bush Sr. said "Read my lips: No new taxes." And that didn't work out too well, either.

Tripleshot -

<< And we do a great job of providing our military with collage benifits after they serve. 3 hots,a cot, and enough spending money to buy a mustang convertable....all while you are serving in the defense and honor of your country. Thats one sweet package for those that have the cajones to do it.

Fact is,if some pacifist was in a fox hole with me and refused to fire his weapon at the enemy,my first shot would be through his temple. A soldier doesn't need excess bagage.

BTW, I also favor execution by firing squad to all draft dodgers caught and brought to trial in times of war.
I have made the arguement that not all draftees see the front line. That is a myth. There are many more support jobs behind the lines for the pacifist.

Once you have seen war and smelled death, the fear transforms to anger, and the pacifist will to live supercedes his will to be a pacifist. They do become some of the best, most ruthless soldiers in the field.

So you're in favour of basically wiping your arse with the US Constitution then, eh? You feel that you're better than someone who doesn't feel it necessary to serve in the armed forces. So much so, that your life is more important than theirs. So much for all men being equal, eh?

[edit]Made it clear who I was addressing.

<< Oh, I see. You are cowards. You are spineless pussys that think being a soldier is beneath your dignity. >>

1) I am not a coward

2) I wish that no draft will happen

3) You can kiss my ass because of your comment

4) I would be honored to serve my country if called to duty, but I will not go unless needed.

5) If I was a parent, I would not let someone else tell my kid he/she has to join the military when they are not needed.

I agree. I think this stems from the whole idea of jocks in high school. Sports are considered to some as the ultimate achievement that man has ever created, whereas some others don't. People who don't play sports are pansies and pussies. This has always been the mentality here in the US. Some people don't like/don't play sports, but excel in all other areas of life. Although I oppose the draft and believe that a draft will not occur in this situation (due to the changing idea of "war"), I will go and fight if truly necessary. But I just find this whole debate and name calling just unnecessary. People aren't pansies if they don't want to fight. People aren't pansies if they don't want to play football. There are so many things "pacifists" can do to support the nation besides go over to some barren wasteland and ruthlessly kill. Let the true soldiers shine in their arena and let the non-soldiers do their thing in their arena.
