I'm pretty sick of these super hero movies. Marvel really wants to cash in on all their characters.

The only one I enjoyed recently was X2. I didn't find Spiderman that great IMO. It was pretty hyped up.

Why shouldn't they? They certainly do a better job than DC. At least Marvel hasn't handed Joel Schumacher a loaded revolver and asked him to destroy Spiderman like he did Batman.

The first two batmans were awesome b/c of Burton. Schumacher should be stoned to death

I agree, they need to reteam Burton and Keaton (sp?) and have a REAL batman movie again.

YES IT WILL B E AWESOME because the guy is completely Gci so the animation should be better, and all the mass destruction can't be beat, xmen sucks because they only have a few of them in the movie, and everyone except wolverine is writtne poorly.

Like I, and others have said.. the CGI is supposed to be pretty craptacular and un-believable.

My roommate went to a press screening about a week ago.

He said that the CGI looked a lot better than what he had seen in the trailers and that the real problem may lie in that the story is not one of a hero but more of a drama.

I'm not going to see it, and I've heard from other people that the CGI looks so bad they're not going to see it either.

The cgi has to be good, because they don't make movies that are so high budget with bad cgi, if it has spiderman or better cgi, then it's good-and spiderman was lame, but the hulk should have episode II cgi or better

I don't think that's unreasonable considering the MAIN CHARACTER is an entirely-CGI creation (at least in Hulk form).

Are you saying bad effects are OK in an action movie?

Here is what I don't understand. Is The Hulk really huge and powerful in the comics? Because in the TV series, he wasn't all that powerful and big.

No, but i'm saying i'm tired of people who say that cgi is bad trying to be these graphics experts, i'm sure whatever they use will be great cgi or they wouldn't make the movie

yeah he was MUCH more powerful in the comics. Back in the 70s they couldn't pull the effects to stay true to the comic.

The Hulk is going to single handedly spell the end for a great lineup of movies. Spiderman, DareDevil, X-Men and X2 were great. League of Extraordinary Gentlement will be one of the best movies of the summer. X3/4, Wolverine, Preacher (yeah, like this will actually film :|), and the rest will all be hurt by the crap that will be the Hulk.

Ok First of all, the movie trailer claims the main character is the "Greatest" adventurer ever. I think it is very well established that Indiana Jones is the greatest adventurer. How dare they say that?

They should make a movie out of the Hush series going on now. :D

Or they should drop the crap and make a movie out of one of their Vertigo lines. Preacher would be an absolute smash if done correctly.

Indiana jones is a dork in comparison.

I don't understand you people. Everyone's dismissing this movie as if it's going to suck right out the gate, but this is coming from one of the most talented directors of our time. Ang Lee just made a little movie called "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" if you'll remember. Before that was the immensely underrated "Ice Storm". He's a real director, and I have nothing but high hopes for "Hulk".

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon was good, but I don't think it is quite in the same genre as the Hulk. Just because some director can make a cheesy foreign film does not mean they can make a great Comic Book based movie. I hope, I really do, that the Hulk will not suck. If it does, it will bring down the rest of the market for CB based movies, which will also suck. Basically, I don't think the director has proven himself in this genre yet.

Because Alan Quatermain is the original Indiana Jones. And I would really like to know, just who established Indiana Jones as the greatest? But back to the subject at hand, I think Hulk will do just fine at the box office, though I don't think it will put up Spiderman numbers.

I hardly think Ang Lee had proven himself in the Marial Arts genre before he did Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (which is not a cheesy foreign film). I mean, if you had said the guy who directed "The Ice Storm" was going to direct a sweeping Martial Arts drama a few years ago, I would have had serious questions about the sanity of such an idea.

I would much rather have a great director like Ang Lee be directing Hulk, than Joel Schumacher, who has "experience" in the genre.

It amazes me. People are always bitching and moaning that Hollywood keeps churning out the same crap over and over, but then a studio give a HUGE property like Hulk to a thoughful, intelligent, 'unproven' (Ang Lee unproven... I can't believe I just said that) director instead of the studio hack who made Speed 2 or Resident Evil, or whatever other copy-cat movie that would be more expected with an action pic like Hulk, and everyone bitches and moans that he's not proven.
