Do you think a war between China and the USA inevitable?

Whatever, how can you think capitalism and communism could coexist forever? There must be a final holy war to eliminate one side. 🙂

eventually yes. china is building up their armed forces. like their long range missles and new aircraft carriers under construction. and if they get those new waterskimming missles from the russians, we be screwed. 🙁

nothin will happen...the US will never again be involved in a full scal war directly...they might attack countrys that attack our allies..but i dont think any country will have a direct war with the US

You want to know what I think, The Earth is one big globe sitting on the coffee table in God's house. He's sitting around drinking a few beers with his buddies (Elvis, Jim Morrison, etc) and says,

"Check it out, they launch these missles at each other every now and then! Stuff explodes and people scream. I think they're gonna crack the fvcker in half one of these days!!"

As it stands right now, China cannot even think about challenging us. Numbers is their only advantage, which they can abrely support in a war time as their manufacturing and farming technology is ages behind ours. Plus we could blow them out of the water before they got anywhere near. But this could change in the near future is Comrade Clinton keeps passing tech over to them! J/k on the last part, but they ARE catching up on technology. But I'm not even going to bother myself about them for at least 2 or 3 years.

EDIT: Actually I'm not too concerned about China, I'm too frightened about the rampant terrorism that is going on. It's only a matter of time until one of Bin ladin's toadys kills himself with a bomb in a subway or Disneyland, taking out 1000 other people here in America not just overseas.

No I don't think the US and China will ever end up going to full scale war...I think the US and CHina will become powerful economic parters, and that will eventually lead China to become a democratic/free-market society...and if anyone knows international relations they know the theory about war and democratic/free-market states...

it will never happen, I expect China to collapse internally long before anything happens with the US.

However, if it would come to pass, frankly, we would clean their chronometers. FYI their military budget is 5% the size of US's military budget, yes 5 fricken percent.

The US has like 15 aircraft carriers, China has ZERO.

Shouldn't you be more concerned about another Tim McVeigh??

Yes the US can take China to school. But that might just make them more desperate to go nuclear.
Hence the need for Star Wars defense system.

I personally want to see future wars fought remotely via robotic armies. Then whoever's robotic army dies in the end loses the war.

Hmm....true. I forgot about him. 😱 But even he doesnt worry me as much as a Muslim zealot that is ready to die for Allah by taking out as many "christians" as possible to get himself to heaven. I'm telling u what, if I was in Israel right now I'd be saving all my money and watching my back until I could haul-ass out of there!

I cannot see it happening. To defeat China militarily would require more than cruise missiles and air strikes, it would necessitate an invasion. The logistics of such an operation are mind boggling to say the least; which allied country in Asia would allow us to use them as a staging ground? I honestly can't see Japan, ROC, or South Korea allowing us to stage up mass buildups of ground troops on their territory, esp. with China's nuclear arsenal. Their missiles can't reach the US, but they can easily reach Taiwan, Okinawa, or Seoul.

That said, I don't think the US would even consider the possibility of war unless there was some sort of Pearl Harbor-esque attack by China on us. I don't even think if we would defend Taiwan if the PRC invaded them. We would probably just be waiting to sign new trade agreements.

Haven't you heard, war of the future are fought in space or possibly on a very high mountain with super robots.

Actually once all the other nations finish polluting their lands and drain all their natural resources, Africa will be the only superpower left.

You might be right, but the US will deplete its natural resources first and China will still have lots of resources left. But yes, eventually Africa will be the winner.

I think a Cold War a la US-USSR is inevitable but neither side really feels the urge to destroy the other unless they really have to
