This thread reminds me of the one the OP posted about Costco's credit card switch from American Express to Visa. The sky wasn't falling then and it isn't falling now either.

Frankly, no one should be surprised to find that Amazon is struggling to meet its normal delivery targets given their huge increase in online orders (and worker safety concerns in its infrastructure). I appreciate the efforts that Amazon and other companies are making to supply people's needs during these trying times.

FWIW, I also noticed the much longer delivery times on Amazon last week. I ended up getting the same item at the same price with free delivery from BBB in just three days. Sometimes it pays to shop around.

If OP hadn't already resolved his toaster crisis by going to Target, I was going to suggest that Costco sells them too...

Best buy has toasters, and you can do curbside pick up. Target too.

Prime is more than just 2 day delivery. The video service is working fine and of good use in this time of SIP.

There are many other parts of Prime I don’t use but maybe the OP could.

Primenow is still two hour delivery. It's been helpful over the past 6 weeks. Sometimes it's hard to get an open delivery spot, but if you keep trying every hour or so, you can find one. They opening them up randomly. Not for toasters, of course, but a lot of other actual essential items.

Yes for sure, i hope they get sued into oblivion. Like its absolutely retarded what they are doing right now. Gf can still get beauty products shipped next day or day after, i tried to order 200 plastic card holders(for ID cards for my Employees for a ESSENTIAL SERVICE) and got a 5 week ship date.....

Like amazon can seriously go straight to hell the way they are handling this pandemic i doubt ill ever buy from them again. like seriously, make up is now more important to them than actual emergency services equipment? while you have a giant banner on the top of your website saying you are prioritizing covid stuff? LMAO.

Amazon = total joke

Anything with that long of a ship date is coming from China. If you go to wish.com, you'll probably see the same result but cheaper (and less accurate ship date). I've shopped on Wish for the same stuff I can get on Amazon (like money clips, plastic hooks, gooseneck phone holder) and it's always cheaper on Wish, just a longer ship date. It appears many of the Amazon sellers just have stock available in the US and so they can charge more.

For identical products:
Amazon money clip: $7
Wish money clip: $2.50 shipped

Amazon phone holder: $29
Wish phone holder: $11 shipped

In your case, you'd be suing your sister and brother as well. At least I'm assuming that's why your reading comprehension is so poor. Well, that and based on your username.
I see your parents failed you in many ways other than teaching you to adapt or making toast.

Don't have prime, but ordered something with free shipping April 1, slated for delivery "by April 25th" (or something like that) and got it April 7th. Seems like they may also just be extending their delivery deadline date to ease some of the demands on warehouse and delivery workers, given the massive increase in volume they've experienced in the middle of a pandemic that might be cutting into their overall workforce and operations.

I ordered some stuff from Amazon on Sunday and it shipped out yesterday, with a delivery date of tomorrow, but it's being delivered today. So lame.

The item in question was in stock, Sold by and Shipped From Amazon. The item is still in stock, too.
