Do you still use CRT monitors?

About 4 years ago I bought a 19" that cost me $250+ from Staples. It's an NEC Multisync and it's got like a 5 or 6 ms refresh on it....

Even though it uses more power and doesn't reduce eyestrain, I like it and won't replace it until it dies. When I replace it though, I'll be getting dual flat panels. Probably 20" or more.

I keep a 19" MAG for my laptop, and have a spare 15" monitor for testing purposes.

Yep, on my second system. It is a 17" SyncMaster 753DF that I salvaged from my venerable P3 rig. It is still beautiful and it is perfect for my family while they leave my main system alone with its LCD monitor.

I had a KDS XFlat 19" CRT and it was great. It died in a power surge circa 2003. I bought a 19" LCD then for $350.00, still have it.

Absolutely not. CRT's routinely give me headaches looking at them, especially when I'm viewing someone else's monitor with such a low refresh rate.

How people don't notice the flickering 60hz refresh is beyond me. I have to have at least 70hz if i'm using a crt.

hell yes. They're still the only monitors we own. Mine is a 19" Sony Trinitron Multiscan 420 GS. Top of the line when it came out in 1997 or 98. I have a 15" sony Trinitron Vaio multimedia monitor in the closet. Came with a Sony Vaio Pentium 1-200 mhx computer back in the day...speakers built into the sides of the monitor...with pretty decent sound (for small speakers)
The wife uses a 17" Dell something or another CRT, and I have an old Gateway 17" POS monitor somewhere collecting dust as well.

One of these days I'll have to upgrade to a flatscreen monitor, but I'm not going to do it until I have to.

Hell yes I do because they are better for fast paced fps games like quake 3 where having a 120hz refresh rate does make a big difference. Plus lcds have input lag and yes ive used a few differnt lcds ranging from alright to top of the line 2ms refresh rate ones. None could compare to the crisp feeling CRT's provide.

I don't see any reason for me to go back to using a CRT. Maybe I've just always had bad models, but I've never seen any reason to use one over an LCD.

don't use them but have 3 taking up space in the house... I tried giving them away on Craigslist... even the local schools don't want them.

I have 22" IBM, currently. But I might have to get rid of the monitor. I need a new desk and the monitor is too heavy and bulky for the new desk.

May either get a 24" or 2x19"..

My 20" CRT at home just died a month ago and I replaced it with a new flat-pannel monitor. The fact that it was a 20" CRT (ant not 19" or 21") should tell you how old it was.

I still use a 21" CRT at work. I'll change over when it dies.

Yes, I have a 17" Hitachi CRT at home that is my secondary monitor. I got it when I built my Celeron 300A PC back in the day.
It seems like its end may be near though, the color isn't really true anymore, and the controls don't all work either.

Now I'm just waiting for a really solid 22" or 24" LCD to replace it with.

well.. the guys over at google seem to have pretty large ones... all with dual+ heads at that.
i got me a few set of 22" dual heads at home... but theirs look more like 30".
