How hot is too hot for you outdoors? Is there a temp where you just say "screw it" and stay indoors in the nice cool AC?

:sun::sun::sun::sun::sun::sun: :shocked:

only 41% humidity and only 93? you're a pussy. that's fscking great weather. its just like that here, and i think i'm gonna go golf for a bit

If it's above 85 degrees F, I am not enjoying myself unless I'm at a beach where there are hot women.

That being said, I do sometimes BBQ when It's horrible-hot outside, however, usually I sit by my laptop in my living room.

I would do stuff outside, but not golf though. I find that unless you break a sweat in that kind of heat, it's uncomfortable.

nope.

I've been sitting inside all day, cleaning and listening to vinyls.

after the sun goes down, I'll walk to my car and go out with my friends.

93 degrees isn't crazy hot. 105 degrees is more like it. at that point i lie on the floor and drink ice water all day. :)

I spent 4 hours digging a ditch in similar conditions today.

Had to cut grass the other day in temps similar to that. I think the humidity was higher though. If I have a choice though, I try to stay out of the heat unless I'm going swimming :)

Yep, been working in 100F/38C plus weather all week. Digging, moving rocks, moving logs, loading cement bags...

It's supposed to get up to 87 degrees, 60% humidity, and 9 UV index tomorrow - but I'm going to install this anyway. I'm going to bring lots of water with me...the humidity is killer.

Working outside is like air conditioning compared to where I work.

Imagine putting yourself 10 feet down in a two foot diameter hole where you are surounded by steel that is 180 F which is covered with oil and water. Usually I only spend 1/4-1/2 hour down there every hour or so, but you might be down there for an hour swinging a hammer or throwing grinder sparks all over yourself.

Hey, someone has to make the axles on your car.

I'm a cold weather person, I hate the summer, humidity and mosquitoes kills the fun for me. I'd rather be under 1 FT of snow.

Thank god for AC! Who invented it anyway? God bless him!

What the hell do you do in a confined space like that?

I'm a diemaker, actually my classification is Die Repairman

I refurbish the tooling. I'm ususally down there with a few air grinders and an air chisel. Heating steel to 2250 F and squishing it into a shape causes a good deal of erosion to your forming steels. If it breaks I'm there to fix it.

The Upsetters (where they make the axles) are like a very large press with two rams coming in at right angles, only the press is laying on its side. One ram actually comes in a holds the round stock while the other forms the heated end. The axles move from top to bottom being formed more through a series forming steels until the final flange is made.

I have to crawl down into the opening where all of these forming steels are. I call it industrial mountain climbing.
