Do you still do stuff outside if it's crazy hot?

It's about 34°C here (93°F) and the humidity is at 41%. UV index is 9 or 'very high'. Seems a little too hot to golf, which is why i'm here. 🙁 😛

How hot is too hot for you outdoors? Is there a temp where you just say "screw it" and stay indoors in the nice cool AC?

:sun::sun::sun::sun::sun::sun: :shocked:

yeah, i'm at my friend's porach, sitting in the shade posting via wireless thru the neighbor who too stupid to add WEP to his network.

oh, and enjoying a burger straight off the grill 😀

I don't really mind temp extremes. I'd go golfing (and carry my bag) when I lived in Bakersfield and it was 115 F in the shade.

Just have plenty of ice water, gatorade, and food on hand. I'd much rather enjoy the day than be stuck indoors to have some cool temps.

Played tennis from 4:30 PM to 7 PM in 34C/92F heat yesterday, then basketball in slightly cooler temperatures from 8 to 10 PM. I was coated head to toe in sweat, but it's all good. Best sleep I've had in months!

I work outside at a zoo, so I don't really have much of a choice 😛

Last week when it was above 90 here in Wisconsin, I was using a pitchfork to spread out a bunch or piles of woodchips and shredded bark dumped by a front end loader = not fun.

Luckily my hours are 5:30am to 1:30pm so I don't get much of the really hot afternoon time.

I don't go outside during the summer much, there isn't a whole lot out there that I consider worth sweating profusely...

(Note: Summer in south Texas is between April and October/November 😛)

i'm trapped indoors on a Saturday. whaaaaaaaaaambulance

i think i need a bunch of :beer:s to drown my sorrows.

hmm. i'm hoping it cools down, maybe i'll play later if it doesn't T-storm...

Yeah. I jump on the bike and ride. Once you get acclimated to the heat, it isn't so bad.

One good way to speed it up is to turn up the thermostat a couple degrees to get used to the heat.

If the weather is hot, I'd go out and do stuff. Humidity is the only factor which determines whether I stay in the house and do nothing or not.

Stupid humidity this weekend 🙁

If you're scuba diving.

Psst - 41% humidity is Dry here - time to go outside and mow the grass! 😛

No kidding, 41% is a nice reprieve. It's currently 57% here and only 81F b/c it is overcast. Doesn't feel too bad right now.

I planted some flowers this afternoon, but the sun got pretty hot (Texas). I'm going to nap for an hour or two, then when the sun gets behind the house, imma fire up the grill and drinks some suds.

once it get's to 95+ I start slowing down. I try to do all of my stuff early in the morning, because evening wise the bugs come out to feast.
