Still sad to me. I don't think I've ever faced real racism my whole life. Vancouver is extremely multicultural. Our population is something like 20-30 percent Asian with a good mix of other cultures too. Although there aren't that many blacks here. Here's an official breakdown.

I see multiracial couples on a daily basis all the time.
Austin, Texas isn't bad at all. Its more multi-cultural and tends to be more liberal.
We're from Lubbock, Texas originally which is a good old boy bible belt town. Nonetheless, it wasn't too bad there either, except for a few of the older folks and a few of the black people (they tend to get pretty rude around mix-raced couples for some reason).
The small towns (<10,000 people) are where you start to see some nasty stuff. They're so nice to me, but very different to minorities.
In all of these cases 99.9% of the people are nice, acceptable people. But there are always a few racist jerks.
