Today's high is 95f and 'feels like' 100f according to weather.com. I love how I don't have a dress code at work.

I'm sitting in front of a computer in a Computer Lab with 28 other computers. To the left of me is yet another computer, a laptop, and a stack of d530 CMT's waiting for re-imaging.

More like "Today's high is 95f and 'feels like' HELL'

but yeah, I sit on my ass all day and it sucks. Would I rather be working outside? Not on days like today! I'd like to have a healthy mix of working outside and working inside, with both physical and mental challenges.

Yes I do. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be a roofer, or drywaller. They're starting the drywall down at the new McDonald's and sometimes I just wish I was over there doing that.

It is going into the upper 90's here today with the humidity about 1% from breathing pure water so I am pretty damned thankful that I am not up nailing shingles to black tarpaper.

I make sure to get up and take a walk around my hallway a few times per day. I can't just sit there all day

I sit a lot at my work as well, so I make it a point to stand up and move around whenever I can. If I have a meeting coming up where I don't have to talk a lot of access my notes, I'll take it on my headset and walk around the building till the meeting is over.

Trust me, it's much better to work indoors than outdoors, at least in Texas during summer. I can't tell you how many times I have been completely drenched in sweat while working outside.

Working indoors is a LUXURY. Be happy with where you work, and enjoy the outdoors during your free time.

I'm a Systems/Network Admin, so yes, I sit in front of a computer all day. I also exercise during my lunch hour to prevent "chairbutt"

I sit in front of one at work. When I get off work, I go home and play video games on my computer. O HYEAH!!!!!!!

I spend a bit of time outside/doing other things though. Thank god. I hate sitting in front of a computer all day.

My first internship, yes. I coded. I sat there the whole day. My eyes would hurt from CRT overuse. 2nd internship I had to do some stuff at the desk, but there was a good chunk of walking around to run experiments. Depending on the job I get next, it could be the same as what I did in my 2nd internship or it could be a lot of lab work and moving around....
