Do you sit in front of a computer at work

My job requires me to sit in front of a computer all day. That's why I'm thinking of hitting the gym or taking a swim at lunchtime to get away from sitting at a desk all the time. I'd suspect this is the case for most of us. Don't you think an outdoors job would be more interesting than sitting in a cubicle all day?

I;ve added a poll to see how many of ATOTers sit in front of a computer at work. I suspect the figure should around 80%.

EDIT: THIS IS NOT A PARODY!!!!!!!!!!

I don't care if it's a parody, it's a good question. Sitting in front of a computer for an extended period of time sucks, and the exercise might help!

Personally, I've been sitting in front of a computer 12 1/2 hours a day for past few days because one of our operations guys just had a baby. Worse yet, the people that I'm working with are in the middle of a 7 day/12 hour shift rotation this week, and due to a payroll glitch they weren't paid this week. Today is going to be fun... :|

Yes I sit in front of a computer, but I also go to the gym regularly to compensate. Also, of course lots of outside jobs are more interesting but you can't nef so much on ATOT in that case, even on wifi. ;)

Damn 12 1/2 hours. I normally do 9-7 but have stayed back till 8 or so. It's hard backing up these shifts the next day.

Also, I find that most of the time most people (including me) are unproductive for most of the day, we only put in about an 1hr of actual work

I wouldn't dare nef at work - I'd be permabanned from my work. The office I work in is smart - we work together in teams and every1 keeps asking others questions so there's no opportunity to relax with ATOT. And alt+tabbing looks so suspicious.

Computer-related but no AT-privileges.

I have a desk I sit at, but at least 25% of my time is spent running around the office helping other people or working on servers or whatever.

staying inside behind a screen keeps most of the workforce alive.

They'd be like babies in a wolf pack if they got out and about.

where is the sometimes option?

I sit in front of a computer but for many less hours a week than I do other work.

I stand mostly, in front of various computers.

Maybe 5-10% of the day sitting at max, usually little to none though.

not all day, but mostly.

I work in a data center, so a decent amount of my job involves working in the racks and on the work bench (building/repairing hardware, running cables, doing facility rounds to make sure the hvacs are all 100%, etc) but an even bigger chunk is just me sitting around surfing the net waiting for a server to go down or a work order to come in.

Working outside might be cool until it hits 97 fucking degrees like today. :|
