I trim close sometimes, especially in summer.

Shaving gives me the worst razor burn so I don't.

no, i do NOT shave.

Becca how old are you? I'm going to go with >35 easily.

Yes, I am actually 25, why do you ask?

I think he's assuming that because you specified that you don't shave that it means that you don't do anything else (IE: wax as you specified).

Guess he didn't read the rest of the thread though...

Bah, I actually said that backwards lol. But now it's 4-4 so we'll have to see where it stands when the thread trails off.

I read it all man. Lola never mentioned that she actually waxes. She's just suggested it and stomped out some myths about pain and whatnot.

In respect: I trim above the :pickle; nice and close and shave everything underneath including the marble pouch... carefully.

Yes, sorry, I never really did say one way or another. Truly, it is personal choice. Women either will try it and love it or refuse. It seems like there is no "in between" and that is ok. It is a personal choice that should be accepted, no matter what the outcome. Some doctors think it is good to keep things "clean" there, other doctors argue there is a reason why we have hair in specific places. With the advanced society we are today, I do not think any female should worry about using hair as a way to protect that area as one might have many years ago.

There was a fantastic article in Glamour magazine (surprisingly enough) talking with a Gynocologist about just this topic and the love/hate relationship women have with their own bodies.

HELL NO!

WTF is up with this metrosexual fetish to shave? Are you all secretly into pedophilia? (oooh, soft as a baby's behind!)

Granted, some people MAY have a need to keep things trimmed, (models, porn stars, etc.) but the average person? Nope.

Explain this, if it makes sense for models / etc, why doesn't it make sense for the average person?

Better yet, explain why hundreds of generations before this one managed to make it through their lives without even contemplating shaving their privates? Why the sudden desire to infantilize one's mound? God grew it there for a reason.

Seriously what is the point of hair down there?

Seems like it would be cleaner and thus more beneficial to be bare so why did we evolve hair there.

you have hair there because a long time ago before people had adequete clothes, you needed hair there to protect the genitals and to increase proper reproduction. Those with hair likely reproduced more than those without.

God makes hair on your face and head grow too, do you ever trim that? How about nose hair? Fingernails?

It's called consideration for one's partner to not have to wade through a vast impenetrable thicket to get where you want them to go.

Male, and I've been shaving since 9th grade or so. I can't stand having pubic hair anymore, it's just annoying/uncomfortable with anything more than a day or two.
