Do you run a mile or so in the morning?

Yeah, like at 8:10am Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. But lately I really suck...

I'm not a morning person, and I don't think it helps me wake up that much.

NO, but I sleep with my contacts in, and trying to get all of the gunk off of them while they're in your eye, with no kind of drops, wakes you up better.

Early in the morning, so they say. Your glyogen levels are low so your body is forced to turn to your fat deposits for energy. And yes, I try to run a mile or so every morning, but I am not a morning person. I find it helps me wake up though.

Most people take a shower in the morning anyway...I hope. Don't you?

I used to run when it gets dark because I didn't want people to see my fat jiggling.

I run two sometimes three miles every weekday morning...I may stop though, 19 credits worth of classes plus a job tires me out as it is...

Who takes 10 minutes to run a mile? I run about 2 or 3 miles in the morning, then take a cold shower.

I would have thought 8 minutes was more of the average. I could be wrong though.

I wish I could. I just can't get the self motivation to get up and just start running. I do, however, run at 24 Hour Fitness on the weekdays after work.

You are correct,I would also agree it is the average, for someone not horribly out of shape. But say, for, the overweight people, it isn't the average.

I run a 10 minute mile but I only do that because it's just more enjoyable for me. *shrug* I can probably do a 6 minute one but I can't keep going at that pace for 4 miles.

Good point, I did not take that into consideration.

I can't run the mile in 8 minutes, but I'm 34 and definitely not a runner. However, I am by no means overweight and I'll bet I can probably do more pushups and situps than most of you guys.

2-3 miles, thats alot of running:).

1 mile is all I need to wake up my body. Running in the hot sun and coming in to take a cold shower makes going to school/work easier.:)

If school started later for me I may be able to run in the hot sun too, but I have to run at 5:45 or so.

No. I stopped running b/c my knees are weak. I do hit the elliptical trainer 4 times a week - Tues/Thurs before breakfast, Mon/Wed after working out (quick HIIT session)
