Do you run a mile or so in the morning?

I like to wake up by going back to sleep, not running five thousand, two hundred and eighty feet.

no, but i need to start.

whats the best time to run if im trying to lose weight? late at night or early in the morning?

Runing 3 miles a day for 3 months helped me go from 160 to 135lbs. Then I noticed I was losing muscle. I guess my body decided to break up protein for energy since I ran on an empty stomach.

Now I do 20min HIIT on the treadmill/elliptical/bike around 4pm every day. Gained 8 lbs in 3 months. Still have a long way to go.

Hope this helps.

We run 4 or so times a week and generally try and do it in the morning. Tomorrow we're up at 4:30 for this, in fact. It's indeed a good way to start the day.

I'd like to, but I am most definitely NOT a morning person, and would probably kill myself by doing so. I do, however run every evening, and am trying to run every monday wednesday and friday morning, about 3-4 miles each day.

no time to run in the morning...so i do it after work if i'm not too tired and on weekends...i try to get in 25-30 miles a week

Yeah, like at 8:10am Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. But lately I really suck...

I'm not a morning person, and I don't think it helps me wake up that much.

Sure you do. 🙂 I run about three miles 3-4 times a week.

I used to, but I hurt my knee in a work related incident a couple of months ago and am banned from running. Hopefully my custom made knee brace which I pick up tomorrow will allow me to run.
