hit the 156mph limiter in my Z one time. smooth as silk.

EDIT: Top speed is not impressive sitting all by itself. ;-)

Highly doubtful that you even came close to 150 at all.

The civic is a rally bred civic........comes with a modded supercharger, wild camshafts, modded ECU kit, high compression ratio and very tall gearing.....I am not talking about the stock civic. BEsides the suspension and the chassis has been strengthened near the struts using strut braces blah blah blah. A stock civic should touch
a 110mph i presume.....

hahahah, you said "rally bred civic." that's pretty rich. good stuff man. and then you followed up by describing that as including tall gearing. bwahahaha.

I have lived in India for a long time and there is no road there on which you can touch 150mph. Not even a race track where you'll be able to hit 150mph.

Proof that you are wrong ...................http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/Abhi/Image045.jpg

p.s. The picture is horrible quality (Nokia 7250) ... but back counting from 200, you can see that I am over 160 kmph.... Again ... speedo read...

Btw... this is in a 85 bhp lancer.... in Calcutta.

All that proves is that you can't take pictures.

I've reached 200km in my 94 Holden Calais its a 3.8 litre V6, I too ran out of tarmac.
I guarantee I could take it off the clock. Which is 220 on dial. Not bad for a "Family Sedan"

Just thought I should say;
Racing on roads is dangerous, 4 other people, so do it at the track.

you beat me to it. granted, the cops don't give a sh!t because you can bribe them with 100 rupees (which equates to 2 dollars!!) but there isn't a paved, straight (since you have a civic) sh!t free road that ou can do that.

i hit about 105 once in my 2002 CR-V (2.4, 160/160). had about 1000rpms left in 5th, and was still accellerating ohhh sooo slowly (1 mile per hour per 5 seconds perhaps).

drag is a killer....

i'm in india at the moment...i've taken my uncle's C320 to about 230kmh after which we ran out of expressway 😀

And ya... I am in India too 😀

damn it... 150 kmph on a zen is really pushing it... did 150 kmph on an Ikon on the Bombay-Pune expressway and i felt like i was pushin the engine to its max. LOL!

lol, didn't even notice at first. Nice.

My Celica was governed at 115MPH, but it could probably hit 125-130, based on how hard it was pulling and how much was left on the tach. My Golf is governed to about the same speed, but that's about as fast as it can go, period.

rally? honda civic? is that like a sticker? rally? isn't that the american spelling? isn't it rallye? never heard of a rally civic...

But if i could find a rally sticker, i'd put it on a civic...if i was into that.

my civic hybrid, i pegged it at 75 the other day. 75 and still averaging 44 mpg.

03 accord does like 130 or so.

One time, one the way from SD to LA, at like 2 AM, me and this altima were trying to run with a ferrari. I think it was a 360? We were both flying at 130 or so, which was were I was about maxing out, and the ferrari was maybe 200 ft ahead, kind of taunting us. I wonder why he didn't just mash the gas and leave us behind. 😕

Though rock chips on a ferrari must cost a fortune to fix. :Q

Yup, rally car with tall gearing and a supercharger.... Why not say it was all wheel drive and a convertible while you were at it?
