Model: 1993 Honda Accord EX
Price: $1000
Time: August 4th, 2005

Would you recommend to others?: Hell yeah, and mine came with an awesome stereo system! Plus its a manual!

Yes, I regret it.

Model: 2005 VW Jetta GLS 2.0
Price: $20,000 out the door (loaded)
Time: 2005
Regrets: Not enough backseat room. Slow. Have to replace hamster weekly.

Next car: Not sure, G35 or Z, or maybe even a Harley.

model: 2005 330i ZHP
price: 37580
time: may 2005
regrets: none
would you recommend to others? yes it is a helluva car but you better get the 6 speed

Model: 2002 Ford F250 SuperDuty Crew Cab 4x4
Price: ~$30,600
Time: May 2002
Regrets: I sometimes wish I had gone long bed diesel instead of short bed V10
Would recomend?: Yes, if you actually NEED a truck. 🙂

Model: 1995 Volvo 854 Turbo
Price: $4800
Miles: 107,000k
Time: April 30th, 2005
Regrets: None
Would you recommend to others?: Heck yeah. Initial costs are high (timing belt, tons of stage 0 stuff = $$$) but it's a fun car.

Small SUV, bought it new with cash (low 20K range) so there was no car payment.

I am happy with it because all I have to pay so far is gas/insurance/maintenance.

No regrett. I would recommend it to anyone.

I regret purchasing it since I don't drive it as much as I thought I would.

We only drive 6k per year and I don't regret buying the car brand new. I plan on putting on some miles in a few years. However imagine if we continued at this present pace, after 10 years only 60,000 miles? It should sell in a heart beat.

That's great! Low miles are really important when selling a car. I always think about resale value also. Thats why i drive an Acura.

Is it the older style?

Model: 2002 Nissan Maxima SE
$12k
Year: 2005 ( 1 month ago )
Regrets: The tires are noisy but that's because the douche who owned it first spent $1500 to put tires on it. Other than that, it rocks!

Regrets: I wish I had taken better care of the car. It only had 120k miles on it before it died because of my inability to want to do car maintenance on it. It was an awesome car with leather and everything. The ride was awesome and even though it had a V6, it rode well with good enough power too. 🙁 I still have the car but the engine needs to be replaced as well as other parts in the car itself.
Cressida had a straight six. Not a V6.

forgot about that. same engine as the supra.

Model: 2000 VW GTI GLS
Price: $14000 CAD
Time: 2005
Regrets: Could've researched a bit more and got a better price, but overall it's a very nice car. Could be faster, but it's sufficient
Recommend: Only to other VW fans that want something reliable

Model: 2000 Mitsu Eclipse GT (new)
Price: $20,000 otd
Time: 2000
Regrets: Should've waited for them to bring in a manual, or I should've gotten a new ITR as a collector's item.
Would you recommend to others?: Yes. Not the sportiest car, but an excellent cruiser with a sliky V6.

Model: 2004 Mitsu Lancer Ralliart (new)
Price: $15,900 otd
Time: 2005 (Jan)
Regrets: None.
Would you recommend to others?: Yes. It's a gem, with what's probably the torqueiest NA 4 cylinder engine ever. Free service for 45k miles, drivetrain for 100k miles. All it needs is gas.

Model: 1994 Ford Ranger XLT 2.3Liter
Price: ~$10000
Time: 1994
Regrets: Can't pull anything with the 4 cylinder. But it's all a poor Airman could afford at the time.

My two other vehicles(Taurus and Windstar), I have no regrets with. Need to get some type of crew cab truck to replace the ranger, although I don't know if it'd be worth anything to trade in, but I don't know if I want 4 vehicles crowding the driveway.

Model: 2004 Hyundai Tiburon GT
Price: $17200
Time: 2004
Regrets: I <3 my car, just slight alignment issue.
Recommend: Yes

model: 98 honda prelude
price: $8000
time: 3-05
regrets: none, its a fun honda (but not enough to get me in too much trouble) with 85,000 miles and was paid for with cash.

Well, I only bought two of the three. So I'll list those.

1976 Porsche 914 2.0
Price: $3,500
Time: 2001
Regrets: I sold the car in 2004, then tracked it down and bought it back in 2005. The only regret was selling it. 🙂

1986 Porsche 951 (aka 944 Turbo)
Price: $7,500
Time: 2005
Regrets: Yeah, right. 😛

Would I recommend either to someone else? Probably not. They're both loud (mainly road and engine noise), ride very stiffly, and have room for only two real-sized humans. I will never regret them, but they aren't very practical and I wouldn't recommend them to just anyone.

You have good taste in cars my friend.

Dislikes: Poor turning radius. Poor city gas mileage.
Likes: everything else. 🙂
Would you recommend to others?: Sure, if they are willing to eat the gas mileage in the city with the 6 cylinder in this car. I can get 27/28 mpg on the highway and have as low as 12mpg in the city. That's with AC on in Phoenix summer.

!!! THE OPRAH CAR!!!!

I heard the stock engine is weak. Did you put an SR20 in there?

Any of you guys lease your vehicle?

I'm in the market (after a disatrous experience with a Dodge 1500 QC) and it seems like a lease would make sense to me...I don't want to mod my next vehicle; I drive between 8-9 miles a year, and I like to have newer vehicles.

What are the downsides?

Sorry for hijacking.

Model: 2002 Nissan Altima
Price ~$12000
Got it used April of 04. No regrets at all...though I'll never go back to the stealership that I got it from.

No, not really.

it's a 2001 Neon R/T... bought new, March '01.

only problem is resale value... other than that, it's a decent looking car, with decent power, and it's bulletproof... in the almost 5 years I've had it, I've replaced a window switch and recalibrated the sunroof... that's about it.

I'd recommend a Neon to anyone, especially 2nd hand (poor resale)
