People who do not refrigerate their condiments (ketchup, mustard, etc) are absolutely disgusting. You are letting the liquid get gelled up.

I mean, I keep milk in the cupboard but put it in the fridge when it is opened. I do the same for ketchup. When it is opened, it goes in the fridge.

But to keep it outside of the fridge after opening is downright worthy of blowing chunks.

Unopened milk is not in the 'fridge?

😕 😕 😕 😕 😕 😕 😕 😕

He probably gets ultrapasteurized milk in the tetra packs. It's shelf stable for 1 year+. I get them from the dollar store for an emergency cache. Sucks having cereal and no milk. The taste is a bit different from regular milk due to the pasteurization, but it's pretty good, and convenient.

Nope...

The pH content of ketchup is plenty high. No need to refrigerate.

Is the OP religious too? I prefer science to irrational fears.

Only because it doesn't separate when kept cold. Other then that, I really hate the cold ketchup on hot food.

Ketchup and mustard do not need to be refrigerated, therefore refrigerating such items is idiotic.

Tell that to Heinz http://www.heinzketchup.com/faq.aspx
Do I need to refrigerate Ketchup?
A: Because of its natural acidity, Heinz® Ketchup is shelf-stable. However, its stability after opening can be affected by storage conditions. We recommend that this product, like any processed food, be refrigerated after opening. Refrigeration will maintain the best product quality after opening.

Yeah that's it. It couldn't possibly be because Heinz knows more about ketchup than you, could it?

are you really that dense? have you not noticed that people will sue over the most minuscule things these days? They never used to put anything on the label regarding refrigeration.

ketchup i leave opened as well; it thickens slightly and tastes more intense.

i'm not just a barbarian; i'm a professional barbarian.
