While it is probably too harsh (and too early) to equate GWB with Hitler or Stalin, I believe that many of those who say these things are speaking out of fear. They feel that Bush has made his path clear and that it has many parallels in the history of those despots. No, Bush is not yet in the same class, but when better to sound the alarm, at the top or the bottom of "the slippery slope"? Most of us have been raised with familiar axioms like: "Those who do not study history are bound to repeat it.", "Hindsight is always 20/20.", "Make all of the mistakes you want, just don't make the same one twice.". People the world over shook their heads after WWII and asked how the German people could have been so blind. Part of the answer is that by the time they realized what Hitler was doing, they were afraid to speak out. Government repraisals were often swift and secret. There are a lot of people today that feel Bush and co. are not only removing rights, but snooping on all of the citizens to find dessent which they already refer to as unpatriotic, treason, etc.. History has shown how such a progression may end up and people are sounding the alarm. I am not yet ready to equate Bush with the despots of yesteryear, but let me add my voice to the call for alarm. Where are we going, and do we want to be there?

There are many on this board that criticize Pres. Bush. As pointed out he is compared to Hitler and other despotic leaders from the past. He is alternatively called stupid and dumb or the leader of a vast New World Order. It does not matter what he does or what the effects of the policy are, to some it seems they must be evil. They are constantly crying "wolf" in every post and thread that they can. That sprit has inundated this board.

The problem with that is, it is obvious that many of the complaints are not based on what he is doing or what the policy will do. They are based only on philosophical or partisan differences. The further problem is that when there is a genuine reason for concern on a policy of the Bush administration it will be buried so far down in the complete BS that it won't get the attention that it deserves.

Carry on.

They can't understand that, its to complicated for them. I like seeing them act like fools comparing Bush to Hitler and stuff. It pushes more and more middle of the road americans right into the republican party. That's how I ended up here. I voted against Bush 1 and for Clinton his first year. Then I started to notice all the Dem's did was whine. No new ideas, no passion to fix our problems. Just whining. The upcoming 2004 elections will complete destroy whats left of the Dem. party. Afterwords they will have to rebuild and clean house by eliminating the wacko's like Clinton and Jackson. Then I might think about voting Dem. again.

Yes, Clinton was a liberal wacko...

I really feel sorry for the Democrats at this moment in time.
we have finally elected a man that is perfect in every way and speak directly with God, and god is directing his every move to remove the infedels from the face of the earth. Until this moment in time I did not know that most Blacks, Mexicans or other than the white race hate america and that is because they are the devil worshipers that is, Liberals. It took many posts by those on here for me to realize that Clinton was the incarnation of the devil and the most immoral human ever on the face of the earth.
It should be apparant that anyone that disagrees with President Bush is not only guilty of treason but is scolding his mentor, God himself.
Our president is capable of things that no other human has ever been able to do and that is to build a Army with such awsome capabilities in only 1 and 1/2 years, weapons that would take normally 7 to 8 years he managed to do in just a few months. He also somehow with the help of God divested the military of all liberals so as not to have any trators within the ranks, he knew that liberals (Democrats) are all trators and hate america. So many good things so little time to tell them all.

Me too. Very sorry. If it wasn't so sad it'd be funny. Actually it is funny.

From the end of the first gulf war until 98/99 timeframe the .mil was gutted, flayed and quartered. Any other opnion is based in ignorance.

He also somehow with the help of God divested the military of all liberals so as not to have any trators within the ranks, he knew that liberals (Democrats) are all trators and hate america.
Don't know about the god and traitor part but it wouldn't be all that hard to get rid of the Dems. who are serving since there aren't and have not been all that many to begin with.

You are full of it. Do you have any proof as to the statement that there were not many to begin with? I can answer for you NO I have no proof God revieled it to me.
You are absolutly wrong in your statement and you know it. Just keep up your lies and maybe someone will be stupid enough to believe statements like this. This is radicalism at its finest, you have no proof and cannot find any source that will prove your statement, your credilibility is non existant when you post crap and lies.

Dr. Smooth asks,

I have often read people being called Bush haters because they criticize GWB. In fact I have heard the term used on the Salvage radio show. Do you guys really believe that GWB is above criticism?

**************
It is our duty to let apathy sit by while we assail the politics we disagree with especially if they "ran" on one plank and surf on another. GWB is simply the guy chosen to do a job... do you like what he has done so far? If so, applaud... If not, Boo Hiss.

I don't think Congress would impeach him "for the good of the country" reasons...;) now, how about he sign a waiver to not run in 2004? Or at least immarshmellowed?

You've been presented the proof before on this board. Take it for what it is or wallow in your own ignorance, I couldn't care less either way. As for calling me a liar, stick it up your ass.
