i dunno, i get bored playing alone. most of my friends play online so it becomes a nerdy social event. ;)

definitely multiplayer. i don't even play single player games anymore except on my roomie's PS2. all PC gaming is multiplayer in my household. :)

I like single player because the plot is usually better, and my wits tend to match a little better with AI rather than a mass of people who have way more time that i do

Multiplayer is grea when everyone is "really" playing. But more often than not, they're not. But with single player it just takes a great well crafted game and for me a great story line.

I prefer to kick the crap out of other real people. Makes me feel good that I have wrecked their day :p

Multiplayer only for me :) Played Tribes 1 for about 2 1/2 years, Tribes 2 was a flop to me. Then I started playing DAOC, and don't have a computer anymore, since I sold my computer to get more rice for my car :p

Definately multiplayer. After lanning with my friends every week for a few years, single player just doesn't cut it anymore (unless its a really really good game).

*cough* everquest

you can choose to play it somewhat single person since it supports that with npcs and the like, or you can play and interact with the other thousands of people playing

In games in general i like multiplayer, whats the point of playing against a computer that can do things infinitely better than you if they really wanted to?
