Do you or anyone you know wear FUBU?

I have some white/Asian/hispanic friends who will not wear FUBU "out of respect". Apparently FUBU = For Us By Us (created for the black community?), and they would feel strange/disrespectful wearing it. A few also mentioned that they wanted to avoid any raised brows or weird looks they'd get from black people by wearing FUBU... does anyone agree/disagree with this mentality?

I once had a Fubu hoodie sweatshirt, it was possibly the best sweatshirt ever. I didn't buy it either. Also, it didn't have a huge "FUBU!!!!!" written across the front, only small letters on the hood.

ditto, just as I avoind North Face jackets in winter because they are fugly.

Yes. I see a lot of "non cool" people wearing it all the time. Just check Marshalls or Ross. they are loaded with Fubu stuff 😛

That what it means? Really?

I thought it meant, "Fsck Ups Buy Us" which made a LOT more sense to me.

😉

No one I know wears FUBU. I know someone who is against wearing Hilfiger clothing however, saying that it is designed primarily for white people.

Anyone who lends anything more than the obligatory shrug towards matters of race, IMHO, is wasting their time! Especially based on clothing. please

It is astronomically ridiculous to think of the amount of people out there who haven't accepted the fact that we are all from the same planet. That's all I need in common with anyone! That's why I find racism on par with evil. The sooner people accept that through time we will all become one race anyway, the better.

sorry to get deep. No FUBU here. It is kinda gaudy tho 🙂
