I was just listening to Reign In Blood and Beneath The Remains this morning during my run.

There is very little recent metal I actually like, I stick with the older stuff.

Those are great albums.

Only recent stuff I can get into are bands like All That Remains and As I Lay Dying. Sepultura is one of my favs, I'm gonna have to go listen to Beneath tonight.

MEgadeth, Slayer, Rob Zombie, Korn (Ugh), Alice cooper, lamb of God and many more at the Heavy MTL festival july 24th and 25th! Should be really good!
 
I got into Lamb of God because of guitar hero. Then I discovered Meshuggah after. I feel like I started at the top and every other metal band I try to listen to is shit compared to those 2.
 
Lamb of God kicks some serious ass, I've been listening to Mastodon and BTBAM quite a bit recently, as a couple of weeks back I got to see them both in concert. It was fuckin awesome!

New Soulfly = Omen. Otherwise Lamb of God, all slayer, OLLLLD sepultura, Cavelera Conspiracy (Can you tell I worship Max), Skeletonwitch, Biohazard, Opeth, Deicide, Eluveitie, KSE, Isis, And the Almighty HAMMERFALL! I've pretty much given up on metal in the USA over the past 5 years...

Too many bands to mention, but I will recommend to anyone Triosphere, who have released their new album on june... Its a very unknown swedish band which kicks major ass, and their sound is kinda hard rockish, not pure metal
