Do you lose stuff?

I have a really bad habit of losing stuff. My parents thought I would outgrow it, but I'm 25 and still losing stuff. So far this year I've lost:
-Suit pants (I still have the jacket, lost the pants in a move or left at dry cleaners) - needed replacement suit for interviews - $800
-Tumi wallet (I had quit using it, so no replacement necessary) - $150
-Oakley perscription sunglasses (luckily was able to recover these)
-Today, I realized I had put my Kine's Newport H2 water shoes out to dry after windsurfing on Sunday. Well I put them by the garbage can, so they were taken by the garbage men. They were in perfect condition, maybe used less than 10 times, $100 down the toilet to replace.

never had that problem..I thought I had lost my camera, but found it today where I thought it should be, it was just under some shit.
*edit*
Now that I think about it- I can't think of anything that I've lost...

My parents gave me shit about buying $100 oakleys back in the day- saying that I'd lose them, but I still have them 10+ years later

-CDs
-Rolls of tape
-Chapstick
-Left a pair of shoes at a park once
-I've lost my house keys various times, but always recovered them

Instead of throwing your money out the window, can you just give it to me?

I've never had a problem keeping track of my stuff.

The most expensive thing I've lost was a $15 bluetooth headset. Lost it sometime during my move - and for all I know, it's hidden away somewhere and I just have yet to find it.

I pay too much for my stuff to lose it. Although I have a nasty habit of losing things I find.

For instance, I found a pair of Oakleys in the sand at a beach, but later lost them. I've had not lost a pair of sunglasses before that, and have not lost a pair since.

the most valuable thing I ever lost were a pair of lineman gloves my dad got me last year while I was on the football team. I took em off to do a drill and ended up forgeting them there. I realized it half way home, and living 40 minutes from my school, we werent going to turn back. I never got em back even though I asked everywhere.

they were around 40 bucks

I don't have a problem losing things, but I am very forgetful about things. Like going to the store for a specific item then returning home with multiple items I didn't need and forgetting the one thing I went to the store for.

I have a HUGE problem when it comes to losing stuff. I've tried everything, including special shelving for my keys/wallet/cell phone and I still manage to lose stuff on a daily basis. It's driving me nuts. I've come to the conclusion that my brain is faulty.

I don't lose anything, and people that do piss me off when it's my stuff they lose. My ex was good for that. She loses so much stuff it isn't funny; Especially when it's mine :^S

When I was a kid I did. I'd leave walkmans on the bus, I left a swiss army knife (a really nice one) sitting around somewhere and it got taken, etc. I was spoiled rotten and it's probably why; I didn't appreciate what I had. I outgrew it though, partly because it pissed me off being taken advantage of, and partly just through habit; I fastidiously check my things now instead of leaving them wherever, and have become an almost anally neat and ordered person.

I have a problem with putting things in a "good spot" and then not remembering where that spot was. The only thing of value that I "lost" for a considerable amount of time was my digital camera. I left it in my suitcase after a vacation, and I put the suitcase out in the shed. The camera was there for about 9 months before we went on our next big trip (we use just one suitcase for our small trips).

Yeah, I misplace things all the time. If I get a sudden thought, I lose track of what I'm doing and take off on that thought, which usually leads me to leave stuff in odd places where I can't find them.

One time I drywalled a couple of my powertools into the ceiling because I forgot I put them inside of a hole I was repairing after I answered the phone :)

I lost a metro smartfare card. I think it is somewhere in my room.

Otherwise I rarely lose things. Instead I get bored of using things, pack them away, forget about them, and then years later find the thing and decide I want to use it again, but I want the latest and greatest version so I go buy a new version of the thing.

I have lost 2 pocket knives in the last few months.
Before that, I hadn't lost one in 10 years.

It isn't lost if they were still in your possession!

I have a terrible problem with setting things down and moments later not remembering where they are. Its actually quite irritating.

I've misplaced a few things temporarily, but nothing noteworthy... except for paper. I can't keep track of anything paper. Ever. As a result I try to scan and electronically index as much as possible, and then destroy the original, so that I won't end up losing my only copy. Things that I've loaned to friends, however... that's another story. I've "lost" DVDs, CDs, cell phone chargers, a cell phone, a desktop computer, a laptop power supply, books... and the list goes on. Oh well, that's the cost of friendship I suppose.

Why the hell would you put a pair of shoes by the garbage can, unless they were to be disposed of?!?

Not really, but I have a habit of lending things to people and completely forgetting about them and not getting them back.
