Do you like to blow money on CRAP like $250 sunglasses?

The stereo in my car is worth more than the car itself, but that shows you what I care about, the car or the music.

Grandpa told me when I was a little kid, "never hesitate to buy the best, you'll never be disappointed".

He was 100% right. He said BEST not MOST EXPENSIVE.

I spent $150 on my last pair of sunglasses, but for racing/riding mountain bikes they are the BEST. I don't ever have to worry about changing light conditions, temples breaking (breakaway construction), fogging lenses during a 40 mph downhill, etc...

Unless I lose these, highly unlikely, they'll be the last pair of sunglasses I ever buy and they'll never disappoint.

But for the record, I do buy sweatshirts at Kohl's on clearance. They don't have a fancy logo, but I never liked free advertising anyway. That's what sponsors are for!!

motorola 270c cell, when cheaper options were there for the taking. cost 150.00. its been over a year since i last
splurged like that.

😀

Guilty.

I've had these babies for about 6 years now.

It was a new style and they were a Mother's Day present... BUT, considering I paid $200 and I have worn them for over 6 years and will continue to wear them until they crumble, it wasn't a bad investment.

<---is practical even when being impractical 😛

Not guilty. Isla, you'd only be guilty had you put cheap sunglasses on such a priceless face.

<< I would like to do an experiment and buy some nice but cheap 25 dollar sunglasses and put the name oakley on them and see if people still bought them. That would determine if people just bought them for the name or not. >>

conartists do that. my friends call them fakeleys =P two of my friends got conned into buying these glasses for 25 a pair. guy probably bought them for a couple bucks each. they had "authentic" oakley boxes tho. dont know how he managed to get those. the "made in taiwan" printed on the side gave it away tho i think after closer examination.

fakeleys are kinda like fakenstocks. fake birkenstocks. hahahaha. welcome to the ghetto

The last 5 pairs of sun glasses I have had were out of the lost and found at work 🙂. I keep sitting on them and people keep leaving new ones at there desk so I have a never ending supply.

90% of my jeans are plain levis and 50% of those my mom bought at yard sales for $1 or less. Hell I don't care aslong as they are still in good shape. Jeans are jeans.
I think the most expensive shirt I have is $30 dress shirt, I call it the funeral shirt, the rest are all $25 or less. I wont were used shirts. They are in direct contact with the pits and well I am not that cheap.
The most expensive car I have bought was $3000 and I am about to sell it after I find my new $1500-$2000 car 🙂. I will end up blowing a bit of cash on the car since it will be my new toy so that kinda doesn't count.

I spend my money on more important things like TVs, computers, and the house I just bought.

It causes me pain to pay over $100 for shades so I settle for a nice pair of Oakley FrogSkins.

They're not quite $9.99 7 Eleven ghetto then again they're not $300 designer glasses which I'll probably lose, sit on, scratch or sit on again.
