I was going to complain about that, but couldn't be sure whether I'd correctly remembered that it used to do that or if I'd just imagined it. and it had always been this way! Let's face it - who started a thread usually says a lot about what one is likely to find in it.
Yeah, and I just gave your post a thumbs up. Silly what they've done with that. It used to simply show who-all had liked a post. Now it shows how many and you have to click "Show all" to see WTF they are. This is improvement? No, no no... this is stupidity.

I REALLY wish UI/UX designers could realize this. I DO WANT my right-click context menu in Firefox, for example, to have a "Print Page" option. (A controversial change that happened.)
It happened? I'm in Firefox right now and my right-click context menu does not have a choice to print the page. Is it an option I can choose somewhere to add that? Or is there and extension that gives you that?

You can turn off the left sidebar with the hamburger menu.
That hamburger menu isn't working for me right now... unresponsive to a left mouse click. This software is clearly 1/2 baked.

That's weird. How often are you printing web pages? I mean, there's always Ctrl+P, or clicking in a slightly different spot.

I print out ATOT threads and paste them to my wall. It makes me feel like I'm actually in the forums. Total immersion.

Count me in too, as a "Desktop Dinosaur", except, now @4K UHD, since two years.

Let's make a club on AT, the Association of Desktop Dinosaurs. I'd like to be a charter member.

The only requirement for joining, is owning, and using, a desktop PC.

Can I be the president of the club? I use the Win2k-style taskbar on my work laptop, and I have the Win7/10 taskbar on all of my home computers set to look the same.

Please let me be a member in your fancy club!
I have 3 desktops at home, one is for the wife, one is my eyefinity setup, and other is connected to the projector. I only use a laptop at work or on the road.

Mods should go back to being anonymous after this debacle.

Either that or witness protection.

The mods had absolutely nothing to do with the software change. We are, however, spending a lot of time trying to get the actual bugs we encounter straightened out by the Purch folks. And mod anonymity does sound appealing sometimes. :)

All change is met with complaints unless massively better than before. The new forum works just as well as the last, and even has a few things that should make it easier to read. Because it is new, it does feel a little awkward, but given some time, I'd bet most people won't want to go back (they'd have to get used to the old style at that point).

I post from phone mostly. And I type in landscape.
You should write the powers that be, that the phone app doesn't show the text box while typing. FB's phone messenger, which also works for text, was doing the same thing when they first rolled it out, but they did fix it in a patch later. If they know of a specific issue, they may fix it as soon as they can.

already did, though I am not sure if it will get fixed. Only if enough people raise a fuzz.

Hello old friend, since many of my friends, family members and celebrities that I have grown up with have passed, it was comforting to re-visit you from time to time to remind of better times and a since of continuity. But alas, you are now also gone....sigh...currently looking for a new planet to move to....:)

Waiting for the old-style Anandtech theme to be added....it will alright then.....any day now.

It's a weird mishmash of the old AT boards and the new.
Also, post count on people is hidden now by default. No good.
