i like their message, and i like their music even more. i love how they can change tempo and sound in a song so many times and get away with it. they are just a very unique sound, and you can tell they are passionate about their music.

i liked a number of songs off their first album, though its been years since ive heard it.

after that theyve had a couple good ones, but overall i didnt like them as much.

They're a band that you either love or hate, and I love them. They're very unique and a lot of fun. I can see how people would think they're irritating but I enjoy their distinctive energy and style. Plus, they write some killer songs.

i think Toxicity was their peak, Steal doesn't count, and the last 2 should have just been one LP ... hypnotize has a lot of filler.
 
I'm not a huge fan, but I like them. Their material is very unique, and it even has some progressive elements to it. They're kind of an anomaly, I think. They're so different from any other mainstream acts, and yet they still found success. That's really rare.
 
Yes and the fact that a lot of their songs focus on the Armenian genocide make them even more intriguing in a way. They have publicly said that event or events plays a huge role in their songs and their message.

Agreed.

I've heard much of their work, and while it may not all be as bad as "Chop Suey," that song is some of the worst garbage to come out of the past few years.
 
steal this album was mediocre for them, hypnotize and mezmerize are back up to SOD standard. and yes, i like them, a lot

Don't judge them because you saw them one time on SNL. Also, Chop Suey is considered one of their better songs.

I think it was being criticized right after 9/11 if I'm not mistaken.
 
I love them, despite their mostly crappy lyrics. When they do have good lyrics, the song ends up being awesome.
 
I liked them after the first three albums, but Mezmorize and Hypnotize have defintely grown on me...really good albums for working out to.
 
Incredible band. Toxicity rules all... but they still have their sound even on the new album. They're concerts are freakin nuts!
