And we should actually care ...why?

I was replying to someone else's question...no one asked you to care and I particularly don't care if you do or not. Thanks for reminding me why I don't care for people either.

I'm only cruel to the animals that get to close to me

Edit: very cruel to dogs that get too close.
Edit 2: especially when I'm driving.

Didn't read the thread yet, just wanted to pop in to say that dogs make awesome pets if you have the time and desire to train them properly. Killer dogs are usually not born killers, killer dogs are usually taught to be aggressive, often by inhumane means. Dogs are social and act out when they are lonely, so they require a lot of positive interaction with people, especially when they are young, in order to be great pets.

I have a shetland sheepdog, and she's a nice pet. Pretty well behaved, too, since I spend 15 to 30 minutes each day practicing training exercises with her.

I love dogs. At one point, my family has had over 40+ poodles at the same time :)

I received my first dog(a poodle) as a birthday present when i was 5 years old.
And I was the only child in my family until i was 13 years old, so basicly, i grew up with dogs as my little brothers and sisters
Even now, though my family do not have a dog as a pet, whenever i see a dog, i can't but to have a big, happy smile on my face :)

And please don't hate/dislike a certain breed of dogs simply because of its stereotypes (such as pitbulls, rottweilers, etc.).
From what i have experienced, the personality of a dog depends greatly how its owner rears it.

For example, i had a rotweiler puppy when i was 2nd grade. By the time it reached 7 months old, it was about my size if not bigger.
However, never once did it in its lifetime bite me or even shown aggression towards me (however, i can't say the same for some of the poodles we owned)
Suzy, the rotweiler, was one of the most docile dog i have ever owned. She was and is still one of my favorite dog out of all the dogs we have owned (and we haved owned hundreds of dogs, literally)

Dogs are indeed men's best friends :)
On a side note, but those Chihuahuas are some mean mofos though :p

This thread is quite comical. ;) So I will add some humour of my own. ;)

I cherish all animals, as they are all unique and special in their own right. However, I do not prefer to own, nor associate with dogs with the exception being Dobermans. Dobermans (if AKC certified) are very clean creatures. They are very easily trained, well-tempered, short-haired animals. An excellent friend of mine, who has trained dogs for over twenty years and has the un-canny ability to speak to any dog (even if it has been trained to obey no one else's commands) and have it immediately obey him. It's astonishing and I never believed him until I saw it in action. It's mind control, I tell you! Simply ridiculous.

He (this friend) owns several Dobermans and they are so well-trained, that they actually use the bathroom, shower themselves each morning and evening, place their blankets into the laudry basket, open doors for visitors, retrieve beers from the refrigerator, and "tattle" on each other when a mistake is made. My sister is a breeder of fine Golden Retrievers from the London-based Lenz family, and he trains all of her dogs.

I personally like Russian Blue Cats. They are fairly agile, and have a graceful appearance when walking or running. With the addition of a Lynx, and Ocelot; the Russian Blue is my favourite animal. :)

I don't particularily dislike dogs, but I like cats better. He keeps his dignity while licking his bum. (Very important :p)
