Definitely like coffee, although it needs cream and sugar for me to be able to drink it...no idea why, but black coffee upsets my stomach even more than when it's been doctored up (same holds true for unsweetened tea).

I'll usually get lattes or cappuccinos if I buy it when I'm out, but at home, Dukin' Donuts dark roast in my good ol' trusty Cuisinart drip coffee maker is excellent as far as I'm concerned.

Coffee is my drug of choice. I quit smoking cigarettes, will definatley not be smoking pot by the time my child is born, but you bet your ass I'll be having some coffee every day.

I like strong and dark coffee but I'm not a coffee snob. I can have a cup of swill from a corner gas station and enjoy it. Granted, if I'm getting an espresso from good quality beans roasted onsite, I'm in heaven.

I used to drink my coffee with cream and sugar, but I've slowly stopped using sugar.

A question for the coffee lovers: Did you find that your taste in coffee was acquired over time, or have you always liked it? I hated beer when I first tried it, but I've come to really appreciate it and have turned into a bit of a beer snob. Were you guys the same way with coffee?

Acquired in my case. I started out drinking it with a fair portion of milk or cream to mellow out the strength a bit. Eventually I realized I had begun to like the taste of coffee more without the additives and now I just drink it black.

It took awhile for me as well. I compare it to smoking. The first one makes you gag and cough but after the first few packs you can't live without it. Of course not nearly as addicting, but the more I drink it the more I need it!

same.

I used to drink w/ cream + sugar. It's bad enough I'm the one that makes coffee for the office 90% of the time, then to have to do cream + sugar too.
I'm too lazy for that shit, so black it is.

I used to drink black coffee and drank 2-3 cups every day for a few years. Then I got acid reflux and found out that the coffee was making it worse. Dropped it like a bad habit and am coffee free. Now I drink green tea every morning.

lol...yea it's normal. It's a stimulant. I think the medical terms are gastrocolic reflex or gastrocolic response.

I think most Americans load their coffee with cream and sugar. However, the Americans who actually like the taste of coffee drink it black.

I'd say no. Coffee drinking styles vary greatly around the world, but America is gradually consuming more frappuchinos, coolattas and coffee candy flavored shit than real coffee. Consider Turkish coffee, which will stain your teeth. You might drink Espresso in Italy or France. . .Usually foreigners come to the states and wonder why our cups of coffee are so enormous and watery. :D

Yep, I like it, I just don't like it when people use cold water and the coffee comes out sour.

Coffee has to be REALLY bad before I'll put cream in it...and NO SUGAR.

If I want a sweet drink, I'll drink Coca-Cola.

Love coffee; I've been drinking it since I was 12. I'm not picky; I'll drink any kind as long as it's not decaf. I do greatly prefer fresh roasted/ground, though. It doesn't cost more, and the taste is far superb to a can that's been sitting on a shelf at the market for who knows how long. I get my coffee from Batian Peak; they're literally right down the road from work (Billerica, MA). They'll ship anywhere, and you can get green coffee to roast yourself. I haven't taken that plunge yet, but I'm hoping to get into that soon. They have a lot of varieties and flavors of tea for those of you that swing that way, too.
